Do you and the DH root, root, root for the same teams?

When it comes to baseball and hockey, we're two peas in a pod...Mets and Rangers, clearly!!!

But football is a different story altogether.

I'm a Cowboys girl, born and raised.

He, on the other hand, likes the.......Giants.

Ugh.

The other day he tried buying Giants seat covers for the car until I had a fit in the middle of WalMart (classy!) informing him that unless my seat was a Cowboys cover, he would not be taking me for ANY kind of ride, ifyaknowwhatimean.

We're painting our living room gray soon and I am going to sneakily get a couple of navy decorations in there...muahahahaha..

The only sport I'm really interested in is baseball and we both root for the Mets, though DH likes the Yankees, too. As for football, Jets/Giants- I don't care, neither does DH though he prefers the Jets.

i really don't have a preference in any sports team. i grew up a yankee fan cause of my family but DH is a red sox fan and he bought me a red sox hat to try to reform me lol. i've been to more red sox games than yankee games since we started dating.

i dont like football at all but i love going to hockey games and i usually just root for whichever team my DH likes that we're seeing.

Well before i met DH i wasnt much of a sports fan, i mean i was always a met fan tho...but wasnt into baseball really it was just a known fact that i liked the mets...

but when DH and I started dating and since he is a huge sports fan i kinda just grew to love it too!!

he is a huge steelers fan, and now so am i!
he is a devils fan and since with him i went to my first hockey game i too am a devils fan too!!!

i also got into nascar since being with DH but we root for different drivers! he likes kurt busche and i like kasey kahne!

he is not a met fan but not a big baseball person if he does root for a baseball team its the nationals! lol he has to be different dont ask

yeppers!!! we're both mets fans... dh proposed after we went to a mets game and we both love penn state football (bc that's where we went, met, etc. etc.)!!!! we're not really into hockey or pro football...

We are both HUGE yankee fans, we also love the Giants and Islanders. However, its really baseball season that consumes our lives....Dh and his family even go down for spring training!

We are both big Mets and Giants fans! And of course since we both went to Penn State we are both hugeeee Penn State Football fans!!

Growing up I was never a big sports fan. My brother was always a huge Yankees and Jets fan. Also my BIL works for the Islanders, so we always root for the Islanders since he started working for them.

DH is a HUGE Yankees fan...and so am I now. He also is a big Giants fan...which I guess I root for, but I am not a big football person...it just bores me.

Shaun isnt really into hockey the way I am... but he is technically a Rangers fan by default...

He's a St. Louis Cardinals fan, and I'm a Yankee fan...

We're a strange couple........I like hockey and baseball and he only likes football. I'm a Mets and Rangers fan, but couldn't really care less about football or basketball. He is a major Cowboys fan, but couldn't care less about any other sports. So I guess it works well for us. Our office is 'Cowboy Blue' and it doesn't really phase me......at least not anymore

dh only likes baseball. i was a die hard met fan all my life!!! for the first 5years of our relationship i would always cheer for the yankees to lose.lol i have crossed over to the dark side. i am now a yankee fan.

we're both yankees, islanders, buffalo bills.

college football is a problem. i'm a boston college fan (obvs) and he's a notre dame fan.

makes for fun times when they play each other though (10/2!!!!)

DH isn't really into watching sports. Especially football. He grew up in a house where it was all anyone cared about and it had the opposite effect on him. His brothers both played but DH was so skinny to be in football.

Football I guess he would say Giants and I would say Jets (because Boomer graduated from EI) But neither of us really care. We only watch games when we are invited to a friends and on superbowl.

We both prefer rooting for our undergrad alma-mater, LAFAYETTE and attending the oldest uninterrupted football rivalry in history Lafayette/Lehigh (Harvard/Yale started first but did not meet every year since it began, which also makes Lafayette/Lehigh the most played.)

Baseball - he follows me Mets, though his dad was a Mets fan

hahahaha Kris!!!!! same here...i was born and raised Cowboy girl (even though Im from NY). My dad was always a fan. DH is a GIANTS fan. hahhaah when we first started talking he couldnt get past that. it was a running joke with us.

I made a deal with him if he quit smoking, I'd root for the Giants. He quit March 27. ahhhhhh we will see what happens this year. So funny though. He always shakes his hand and says, :COWBOYS??? really'

We are both Knicks and Yankee fans though! Football is WAR time :)

Football - YES!! Giants all the way [boooo cowboys!!]

Hockey i'm not really into.. only if we actually GO to the game.. other then that i cant follow the puck on TV lol .. he's a Rangers fan

&& Basketball he doesn't really watch anymore, but if he does he's a Knicks fan

The rule around here is pretty much anything I like, DH hates. lol. So all the teams I love, he roots against... I swear its on purpose but he swears its not. For example, I love the Cowboys and Colts and he's a Giants fan. Football season is intense around here and everyone makes fun of us when we come around and I'm in my Cowboys jersey and he's got his Giants t-shirt on.. MEANWHILE, I'm the one that got HIM into football!! He didn't even LIKE football until the Giants beat the Patriots in the superbowl because I made him watch the game and he got into it because 'he liked seeing the underdog win.'

we both could care less about sports. DH sometimes pretends to like sports in front of friends, but they are no fools--they know he has no clue what he's talking about .
