Re: Outlet Shopping
I'm a big Tanger Riverhead fan- but I grew up in Smithtown so it isnt all that far for me. I find the stores to be really messy sometimes though. You can also try Tanger Deer Park. That should be a bit closer for you. Its smaller than Riverhead but newer so its a bit nicer.
Woodbury Commons is far for me so I've only been there a few times, but I had a lot of luck when I went there to look for bridal party gifts. I think they have higher end stores than the Tangers do.
So really, now that I'm re-reading this, I'm no help at all.

Re: Outlet Shopping
Other.... for sheer convenience - I go to Tanger in Deer Park - they have most of the stores I need. But Tanger in Riverhead has so many stores and it great for a fully Day of shopping!

Love Woodbury!! There's a great restaurant right outside the outlets that has the most amazing garlic parmesan french fries. Now I want to go! lol

Re: Outlet Shopping
I've only been to Woodbury about twice and I've been to Tanger almost twice every summer of my entire life.I just like the layout of Woodbury better then Tanger. It's a LITTLE further but not much from FP. Only downfall is the tolls that you have to pay to get there. The stores are higher end but not all of them. They have AMAZING deals and it took everything I had to just walk out of Fendi empty handed.
Yeah, so my vote is Woodbury...

Re: Outlet Shopping
Tanger. I like the fact that I can drive around to see exactly what stores are where and not have to guess, 'Am I going the right way?', 'Didn't I pass this store already?'. And when it's not as crowded I can move my car gradually so I don't have to walk across the lot when I reach the end.

Re: Outlet Shopping
I'm a big fan of Jersey Gardens OutletsHowever, Tanger in Riverhead is a close second because Jersey doesnt have the coach outlet.

Re: Outlet Shopping
Tanger in Riverhead is my favorite because of convenience in the parking lots.Woodbury Commons has SO MANY amazing stores, but I had to valet park the last 2 times i went because I had been driving in circles trying to find parking for nearly 30 minutes. What a waste of time.
Plus I don't really shop at the designer outlet stores anyway (Tory Burch, Prada, Gucci, etc.), so Tanger in Riverhead works best for me. They're both about the same distance from where we live in Queens.

Re: Outlet Shopping
I prefer Tanger only because it's closer. I go to the one in DP probably like once a month and then I'll run out to the one in Riverhead if I want to check out the Coach or PB/Williams-Sonoma outlet. I've been debating about driving up to Woodbury Commons bc I want to go to the Crate and Barrel outlet but I just can't bring myself to make the almost 2 hour drive.

Re: Outlet Shopping
I prefer Tanger Riverhead. Woodbury Commons is nice, but I feel the stores are mostly high end, and I don't really save much money then.
