Places for an 18th birthday????

DHs nephew turns 18 on Saturday and my sister-in-law is asking me where can we take him that is fun and has good food? We're in Queens but willing to do Manhattan and Nassau....Suffolk too as long as it isnt too too far.....any suggestions ladies?
