Queens Bridal brides - video & photo

Hi all

We cancelled our appt yesterday for photo/album. We found out that we have ot actually give the proofs to them and they won't give back until album is done. FIL lives overseas and he'd want to pick out his pictures for the parents album I think.

HOwever Beth (in Mineola office) said if we want a few 8x10 done (one for my dad one for my FIL and one for us) it takes just a few weeks. Did anyone do that first before giving them the proofs for the album?

I am also wondering who got to see the unedited footage of their video. I was told by QBC the editor has sole discretion yet I wasn't told that beforehand (then again I forgot to ask - I just assumed). Did anyone get to see their unedited version first? We want to see the unedited version. I actaully don't think I'd mind someone else editing it at their own discretion it's just that we had someone very drunk at the wedding and we want to see if he was caught on tape and we figure the editor will probably edit it out first. We just want to see it for laughs, really. (and so we can make fun of him when we see him in December!!!)

Yes, we had to hand in our proofs when we went for the album. I guess it is just something they do. I am just happy you get them all back, some places don't do that. We never saw an unedited video, i think I remember them saying the editor has discretion too. We are still waiting on our video so I can't give you any feedback there.

Hi Moehick!

Did you use the same songs from your wedding day as the songs for your video?

I don't know what songs to use other than our wedding song. And because we don't get to see it first we are not sure what to use.

Let me know how it is when you get it back

When do you get your album back?

If any past QBC brides have their video already can reply that would be great so I know what to expect!!

We used some songs from our wedding day and provided some songs on CD that we wanted in it. I actually got a letter in the mail today that says my albums are ready for pick up. So I will have my albums back but not the video! Anyway, I will pick them up tomorrow and let you know how they are.

Hey! I just got our videos back. When we originally booked them, I remember getting some contract in the mail that I had to sign saying that the editor had the right to edit the video how he sees fit. We never got the unedited version, nor was there ever any mention of it. They did a really nice job with the video though, I was crying when we watched it.
As for the picts I still have not gotten my 8X10s or my album back.. its been about 3 months since I dropped them off to be done.

Lindenhurst.

From the moment we started talking I had a list of “musts”
They included:
No parent albums
ALL proofs
Unedited Video
DVD video
3 VHS
No solo pic
100 Thank yous

We started from there. The video they sorta balked at but I said honestly “What you may find endearing or sweet, I may find shallow and ordinary, What you find stupid or ordinary I may find a memory from childhood, who are YOU to tell me what is or isn’t edited from the most important day of my life? You can edit it but I want the original gory mess.”

Glen overheard me and laughed said “give it to her”

No biggie.

I am going to ask for them to copy the unedited video and then edit the original and if I have to I will pay for the unedited one. That way it's not like we are trying to screw QBC. They have been very good to us. I just want to see the undedited version.

Well I picked up my album and it looks great! Everyone has commented on how beautiful the pictures are. I was a little upset because in the panoramic shot the page crease runs through me!! Not directly but off to the side. Oh Well I guess if I am in the middle what can you do. One complaint, they duplicated a picture in my DH's parent album. Ladies check your order carefully. All in All they did a great job. Still waiting for that video!!

OMG I bet that happens in my panoramic too!!!! I was wondering how they were going to put it on 2 pages, but I think I am right smack in the middle!
Also did they re-do your parents album with the duplicate pict?

I was very happy with them, I did not have to hand my proofs in for my album I got to keep them. And i did not get the unedited version of my video, never really thought to get it oh well. But i was very happy with Glen in Lindenhurst... everything was perfect!

Yep, they are fixing DH's parent album, should be ready in 2 weeks.
