Riu Hotels

Has anyone ever been to one of the Riu's in Mexico or the Dominican Republic?

The Riu we stayed at in the Bahamas for our hm ****** asss and we complained (no ac!, no non-motorized watersports, we had to wake up at 7 am to make dinner reservations every day, etc. etc.) so they are giving us 2 complimentary nights at any one of their resorts in the DR, Mexico or Jamaica

Re: Riu Hotels

I have stayed at the Riu Merengue in Puerto Plata....what is great is the they have two other Riu hotels next one another in the same resort.

You can utilize all three pools, and restaurants, but I think there is only one restriction that you must have breakfast at the hotel you are staying at.

I loved it there, I definitely had a great time.

Re: Riu Hotels

We stayed at the RIU Cancun in Cancun. It was our first all inclusive so we enjoyed it but the food wasnt very good and you still had to get up mad early to make reservations so we never got to any of the specialty restaurants. We still had a good time though.

Re: Riu Hotels

I have stayed at the Riu Palace in Cabo and the Riu in Aruba. They are both beautiful but for food the Riu in Cabo blows the one in Aruba away. I would def go back to the Riu in Cabo. The views and the sunsets are breathtaking.
