i have an $80 gift certificate to Crate & Barrel .... what should i buy? I don't mind adding money if necessary ... but i'd rather not.

in an apartment

our 'style' is modern, for the most part. we have a white leather sofa and most of our furniture is black ... some red in there too for color.

i don't think i *need* anything per se ... but i'm sure i want something

do you have access to a backyard or place to eat/drink outside? if so, you could get some of their great outdoor dinnerware/'glasses'....

sort of ... we have a tiny little balcony which has absolutely nothing on it (i kept buying things for the indoors rather than outdoors). and we also have the 'communal' lawn

i think before i buy outdoor cups or whatnot, i'd need chairs

crate & barrel furniture is $$$$$$

but as heather said, u can def get nice drinkware. they have really cute glass pitchers, glasses, beer glasses

i got a bunch of c&b gift certificates as wedding presents and when we returned some registry items. i'm going to buy new pillows and some new accessories to give my living room a 'facelift.'

i hate to be the practical one here... since i never am -- but didn't you guys start nosing around into the house buying market awhile ago?

is the gift cert gonna expire?

can you tuck it away somewhere safe for a year or so from now when you're going to really be able to use it instead of just buying drinking glasses?
