spinoff to countup (feeling differently after the wedding)

So i agree with all of you girls that after the wedding itself, i felt exactly the same as before.

one of my friends' wives however, said she completely disagrees with me and that she felt COMPLETELY different after the wedding. (Even though they were living together before hand and everything)

has anyone else actually felt like something was different after the wedding or is she just weird?

I felt totally different after the wedding~and we lived together before too. I didn’t think I’d feel anything different, but the very next day when we woke up I felt such a strong bond with DH. Like, we’re really a team now. I know we were one before, but I just felt sooooo much closer to him.

the only time i feel different after is having to say husband... i never said it out loud before the wedding... with in 13 months i went from saying Boyfriend, to Fiance to Husband....

nope i feel completely the same! i only feel different after having said 'my husband' or hearing him or someone else say 'my/your wife' then i get really giddy

Same here......actually I have yet to hear DH call me his wife, lol. He still calls me his girlfriend

even though we lived together and have been together for so long things did feel different. it wasnt completely different but it was def great.

i def agree w. stacey about the team thing & a closer bond!

I feel exactly the same! I was 'sappy' for about a week but was back to normal pretty soon after. Not that anything is wrong with that, I'm happy with normal!

I actually only felt different after DH and I got our tattoos on our ring fingers. At that point it felt so real, so final, so binding...that meant more to me than the wedding itself and made me feel that something amazing had happened between us. I really felt closer to him after that.

Buuuut...after the wedding I felt exactly the same. Everyone kept saying 'So, how does being married feel?' and I'd say 'Just like being engaged'...mostly it does (without the crazy stress)

DH became even more affectionate...very nice. Otherwise, getting married didn't really change us.
