Sunday
So, my MIL makes it very clear all the time that she doesn't think I do anything and make sure her son is taken care of (just an Italian mom who thinks her son is the most wonderful person in the world and no one can top her or ever be #1 to him except her). So we decided to do Easter dinner and make my in-laws come to us. I'm not going too crazy but I want to make sure that everything is in order so it flows really well on Sunday. I placed a peapod order for the holiday so I don't have to try and get through the crowd. Can someone look this order over and let me know if I need to add anything before 1:30 today? Thanks girls!MIL is on Weight Watchers and they are trying to eat healthy, as well as us but it's a holiday so it's just a couple things thrown in that are healthy (I found a list of the top 50 healthiest snacks so I went from there)
Snacks Before:
Veggie Dip
Carrots, Celery, Peppers
Onion Dip
Reg Chips
Sweet Potato Chips
First Meal:
Caesar Salad
Second Meal:
Rigatoni with sauce that has peppers and sausage in it
Snack between meals:
Sharp Mozeralla Cheese
Wheat Thins
Pretzeltwists
Onion Dip
Main Course:
RotisserieChicken
Mashed Potatoes
Baked Sweet Potatoes
String Bean Casserole
Chicken Gravy
Dessert:
Easter Pie (the ONLY thing I'm asking MIL to bring)
Brownies
Chocolate Chip Cookies
(I'm not going overboard with dessert since there is only 4 of us - maybe 5 - and I'm sure everyone will be eating the Easter Pie - except me bc I don't like it)

Re: Sunday
Personally I think this is a great menu! I love the planned out courses and everything (i may steal this idea!) - if she finds something to complain about, then she's clearly someone who can never be pleased. As far as I can tell, this will be a success!!

Re: Sunday
Thanks Janis...they aren't really olive fans but same thing in my house...my in-laws just do things A LOT differently then when I grew up with so I'm trying to think of their holidays. They sit around in jeans and watch tv and I grew up that you always get dressed nicely for holidays and there was never any tv watching, it was family time.
