superbowl menu
Hi all... what are you making for the superbowl (if anything)? I know it's a bit early but we are having a party - and it's not only the first party we are having as a married couple (besides the wedding of course!) but it's also the first party we are having in our new place. I am thinking of making some combination of:- a caramelized onion dip, OR a caramelized onion-blue cheese dip with veggies
- my famous guacamole
- hot spinach artichoke dip
- queso dip (we have a small crock put that is the perfect size for keeping it warm during the party)
- vegetarian chili and maybe cornbread, with a selection of toppings (cheese, scallions, pickled jalapenos, cilantro)
- a big pan of baked mac n cheese with roasted tomatoes
- cookies of some sort
and of course, chips and salsa
But I keep second guessing myself.

Sounds delicious!I always make a chilli cream cheese dip. You layer the bottom of a Pyrex dish with cream cheese, pour chilli over, and sprinkle a layer of cheddar cheese. I serve it with cut up Italian bread, but I've also served it with a bag of scoops. It's always a hit at Super Bowl

YES! I do this too, but I add salsa and I put mexican cheese on the top, serve it with scoops! I always make it, and the plate is always finished! Tonight I made pigs in a blanket, homemade, fresh dough....such a hit!!

Ive learned from prior superbowls, that I need to make at least 5, sometimes 6 and have 1 on each side of the table. Between 10 men, 10 women, and a bunch of kids, it goes VERRRRy quickly

Re: superbowl menu
you can't have a superbowl party without having wings OR buffalo chicken dip!!!!!!The dip is super easy, you cut up and saute 1-2 chicken cutlets until brown, then mix with enough frank's red hot to cover all chicken, spread one package of cream cheese in a baking dish, put a thin layer of blue cheese on top, and then sprinkle shredded mozz on top. Bake in oven at 350 for 5-10 mins or until all cheese is melted and bubbly. serve with scoops. SO delicious and always a big hit!

Re: superbowl menu
My fave's are the spinach dip and chili cheese dips with refried beans. So easy and yummy! I also like things like pigs in blankets, mozz sticks, mini quiches, quesadilla's. I was just in BJ's the other day and saw they have alot of these things.
