tell me / show me your parents albums

are they just simple with all black backgrounds or does each page have a diff background image?

are they flush mount / lay flat pages or 'normal' paper?

is the cover made of paper, leather, or otherwise?

DH and I are making our own parents albums to save money so i want to know what the norm is.

White leather cover with 'Our Children's Wedding' 'Michael & Laura 6/5/10' embossed in it.

5x7 photos, one per page, traditional style with plain border on each page.

Black Leather Cover with our Monogram & date embossed into it in silver. Silver edging on photos. But yes they do not have magazine style but they do have flat pics not reg. photos on each page. 35 pics in all.

I did a shutterfly album. I did a padded photo cover... loved how it looked and felt... all black in the background with white edging.
