the trip I was yapping about...

...has been postponed due to the fact that every penny we spend at this point impacts our ability to buy a house. After an intense financial 'belt tightening session' on saturday we decided we'd rather 'go on vacation' in our very own backyard.....

so, for the time being our plans to go away are on the shelf

i'm a bit bummed, but i also kinda feel a sense of pride in the fact that we are SO close to buying our first house.

i'm gonna require a lot of outdoor bbq'ing and drinks in an effort to offset the fact that we won't be going away away anytime soon.

You better believe it! If there is one thing Kieran and I do really well it is hosting BBQs! He is a certified BBQ judge from the Kansas City BBQ Association!

We're the process of buying our first house so no vacations for us....but we're looking forward to being on vacation in our backyard with our own pool!
