Too white to wear for a wedding?

I bought this dress that I wore to a non-wedding event, but I have 4 weddings still to go to this yr and was wondering if its appropriate to wear or not... Whatcha think?

Re: Too white to wear for a wedding?

I'm on the fence. it does have a lot of white in it but it's a b&w dress. if the bride's theme is b&w, I'd stay away from it. Otherwise, I think it's probably OK.

Re: Too white to wear for a wedding?

I saw someone at a recent wedding in a dress that almost looked exactly like that. In fact, I tried it on when I was dress shopping for my shower.

Nobody said anything, the bride didn't notice or if she did, she didn't care, but I personally wouldn't wear it. I think it's too white. JMO!

Ditto. I have a black and white dress that I plan to wear to a wedding in September.

Re: Too white to wear for a wedding?

OMG! NO!

This is the dress that the girl wore to my wedding and everyone (dh's family) was so pissed b/c she had gotten married the yr before.

I HONESTLY didn't notice and actually DH noticed it. I had to check when we got our photos b/c I didn't even remember what she was wearing.

Re: Too white to wear for a wedding?

when in doubt, dont do it. while that wouldnt bother me at my wedding, ive been to multiple weddings where ppl have worn prints like that and the bride was annoyed.

Re: Too white to wear for a wedding?

wouldn't bother me at all, but might bother another bride. Maybe find another occasion for it, like a baby shower or out to a nice dinner with your DH.

Re: Too white to wear for a wedding?

i voted not to wear it. if there was more black detail to draw the eye then it would be fine but im more drawn to the white.
stinks though cuz i know what its like to have so many weddings to go to and not wanting to keep buying dresses

Okey dokey ladies... I wore it to a bat mitzvah and originally had no plans on wearing to a wedding, but figured ehhh why not check with you girls anyways! Too many freakin weddings... not enough dresses

Re: Too white to wear for a wedding?

I have a similar one that's got a green design on it instead of black and I got a matching bolero to wear in green over it and I've worn it to summer weddings... but without something to break up all that white, I agree with everyone else. It's very cute, though! Glad you have other uses!

I have a friend who refuses to repeat a dress from one event to another, so she goes through what you're going through all the time! Good luck!
