Top Tier Wedding Cake

Does anyone else feel this way?
Its really bothering me that my wedding cake is taking up so much room in my already compact freezer. I could be using that space for so many better things!

lucky you! i suggested this to my parents and they told me i wouldn' thave a cake to come back to in 1 year. LOL!

The cake went back with my parents since DH and I stayed at a hotel and the next morning I woke up and immediately called my mom. She had guests staying over and i KNEW she would serve them cake!!!

And she said 'thank goodness you called. I offered cake last night and everyone was too full and i was going to offer it again this morning!'

she's not familiar with american traditions like that so I'm glad I thought to call her!

my sister just wrote back saying - did you tell us to freeze it? oops i guess no wedding cake during our 1 year then. we'll just buy a fresh one

I didn't save our top of our wedding cake. I couldn't be bothered and there was no room in our freezer. We're just going to go to Dortoni's on the 5th of Sept and order something to eat there.

it is in my sister's freezer in NY bc DH and i live in florida .. we are going to eat it around our 1 month anniversary when we are in NY for a friend's wedding

We never got ours take home with us. With all the confusion with packing up and loading the shuttle, we didn't realize we never got it until we got back to the hotel...


We'll probably just get a replica for our anniversary

Cut it in half - eat one half now and save the other for the 1 year.

That way you give yourself more room in the freezer and when it does taste like **** a year from now you were at least able to enjoy it LOL
