walls, crown molding, ceiling....

how many different colors? all 3 should be different? or shoudl the crown molding match the ceiling??

i want to do the crown modling a beige color, and im wondering if i should do ceiling beige too or go for a lighter (like ivory?) look?

idkkkkkk

(ps wall will be like a 'wheat' color)

i would keep the molding and ceiling white, and whatever color you want for the walls...

thats just my opinion tho

I wrote a whole post about how you should do your ceiling a lighter color because it'll make the room feel bigger but I deleted it when I found this pic, it looks awesome!

Hi!!! Donna and Josh just painted their living room a burgundy, and they plan to put up white crown molding. I think the window trim is white also. Mary MOB

yeah, thats why i am confused. and in this pic the modling matches the walls . im so confused

i like how the wheat wall looks w the beige molding, so im leaning towards that combo....im just not sure about the ceilings at all!!!

I know, I've been searching for pics of rooms with different color molding/ceiling but to no avail. The only ones I find are with drastically different colors (like blue and gold or purple and green). I'm still gonna keep looking though!

In general, it is the norm to have the molding the same color as the ceiling, unless the molding is wood, and then sometimes people will leave it as is.

In our house, our molding and ceilings are both white.

But you should do whatever you want, and whatever you think will look best!

We just put up crown molding in our living room and bedroom. The moldings (floor, window and crown) are all off-white. Ceiling is off-white. Walls are beige in the living room and sage in the bedroom.
