Weekend getaway ideas

So DH and I always go away his birthday weekend (Feb 14) and this year we wanted to keep it within driving distance. I know it's a long way away but I'm really bored at work today and need something to do lol I was looking into Philly but I think that's more of a warm weather weekend trip. I'm thinking DC now. Any suggestions? Anyone been to DC and have any advice? TIA girls

Re: Weekend getaway ideas

DC or Boston! you can take the bus for super cheap

boston has a 'go card' you can really see/do A LOT in a short period of time

DC is awesome too. lots of historic stuff to see, if you like that

Re: Weekend getaway ideas

I love DC. Check out the Hotel Palomar - very cool boutique hotel and 1789 for a special dinner out.
Also, the national mall is surrounded by museums and other historic sites and everything is free.

That's awesome! I'm really leaning towards DC because so much is inside so since it'll be cold out we'll still be able to do a lot. Plus, neither of us have been there before. I'm going to look at that hotel and I was also looking into the Dupont hotel which got really good reviews on hotels.com.

DC is alot of fun! We visited all the museums and momuments. It definatly takes more than a weekend to see everything though.

Re: Weekend getaway ideas

We did a weekend in Boston this summer (Fri-Sun). We saw everything we needed to see and had an amazing time! We stayed at the Omni Parker House perfect location and very historic itself! I
