Pics tommorrow so Im waiting for those to give the full review. But the trip was great. We loved Maui (and we are really critical). A great trip.

Im totally kicking myself for not bringing my good camera..there were so many good photos I missed b/c I brought the junky one.

What did I miss here? Any big news?

Welcome Back Stef- I am so glad to hear that you loved Maui- that was by far my favorite island in Hawaii. I can't wait to see/hear eveything that you did!!

Photos are back. Maui was great of course. I didnt want to come home ever!

We got a convertible rental which made the trip that much more enjoyable since there is a LOT of driving around on Maui.

We checked into the Hyatt which has very impressive grounds and pool but our room was just eh. Granted, we were probably paying a lot less than what everyone else paid but still, it was enough for me to expect more. Plus they nickel and dime you to death over everything. There is a 'resort fee' added eachday for things like tennis time (i dont play tennis so its wasted), in room coffee (sorry, that stuff is nasty so i never made it), maui newspaper (which is like 50 cents), local calls. Breakfast there is $20+ per person, room service is aweful and overpriced. The bed was really nice and fluffy so that is a plus. So it gets a mixed review from me.

We ate at some really delicious restaurants (Longhis, Sarentos, Nicks, Cafe Sauvage) so I would recommend all of those.

We drove the north side of the island almost by accident and its completely breathtaking. Both the views and the insanely sharp turns on narrow cliffs! Yoinks!

Sunday we went whale watching which I thought might be a little 'old lady' but we were so wrong. The whales came right up to our raft and swam all around us. This is where I got really annoyed with myself for leaving my good camera home. We would have gotten some amazing shots if I didnt have that shutter delay but oh well.

The next day we went Snorkeling and Snuba'ing. It was a fun trip but the surf was kind of rough and there werent much in the way of fish to be seen compared to carribbean snorkeling so sort of disappointing. But still fun just to go on the boat trip.

Then we did the Ride to Hana. Of course all really spectacularily beautiful.

On our last night we went to see the Warren and Annabel show. We got seated right next to the Magician and the show was GREAT! Higly recommend that to anyone going to Maui and ask if you sit right in the front. Im still amazed at how he does those tricks!

The trip was just too damn short. I want to go back already!!

Great pics! The waterslide was closed when we were there. I hear you on the rooms though - the grounds of the hotel were beautiful and the bed was really comfy but the rooms were small. I told you their breakfast was pricey! If it wasn't included with us we would have gone out to eat each AM.

I would have LOVED to go whale watching - you were there in the best time of year for that

You didn't make it to The Bay Club for dinner? That was our favorite....Longhi's was also great but I didn't like that they read you the menu! I'm old school and like to read the menus before making a selection
