Re: what are your three favorite...

Wow. This is hard. It's hard for me to pick favorites for books, music, movie because it changes on my mood.

The Autobiography of Malcolm X
The Things They Carried
1984

are high on the list. They were powerful books.

Re: what are your three favorite...

The Catcher in the Rye...I have read it over and over and over again..

Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs: A Low Culture Manifesto by Chuck Klosterman

And more recently, This is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Tropper. I read it back in September and it sent me on a whirlwind of reading the rest of his novels. Another one of his books, How to Talk to a Widower, had me absolutely sobbing at a few points.

The Game

By Neil Strauss? I loved that book! I was actually going to put it as one of my top 3!

ETA: And I loved reading it on the train and watching people do a double-take thinking it's the Bible.
