Wow. This is hard. It's hard for me to pick favorites for books, music, movie because it changes on my mood. The Autobiography of Malcolm X
The Things They Carried
1984
are high on the list. They were powerful books.

The Catcher in the Rye...I have read it over and over and over again..Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs: A Low Culture Manifesto by Chuck Klosterman
And more recently, This is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Tropper. I read it back in September and it sent me on a whirlwind of reading the rest of his novels. Another one of his books, How to Talk to a Widower, had me absolutely sobbing at a few points.

The Game
By Neil Strauss? I loved that book! I was actually going to put it as one of my top 3!
ETA: And I loved reading it on the train and watching people do a double-take thinking it's the Bible.
