For a newlywed chop?

I grew my hair out and kept it it's natural color (both terribly difficult things for me to do...I like to change up my hair) because I wanted a half-up, half-down thing.

I cut it a couple weeks post-wedding and lightened it a bit.

I never called it a 'newlywed chop' because I think that's a fcuking stupid term.

Now I'm dying it red and cutting bangs like Zooey Deschanel, hopefully this weekend.

I didn't chop it by any means, but I did cut a few inches off. I grew it longer than I would normally have for the wedding.

My hair is gross and has so many split ends. Maybe in a few weeks I'll get a few inches taken off. Nothing crazy though.

i didnt get a nw chop per say i just needed to get rid of my nasty asss split ends for my bpics

because i always cut my hair off at some point... and it just seemed like a good time to do it... it was getting way too long...

I grew out my hair for a year and it was so long and crazy looking. I got the most horrendous knots. I cut it about 7 inches to jusy above my shoulders - so much lighter and more manageable!!

Because I was keeping it long for the wedding, so it would be easier to get the style I wanted.

I chopped mine the day after the wedding and since then have keep cutting it shorter everytime

my hair is always a length somewhere between my ears or down to my chin maximum. for the wedding, my hair was down past my chest. I hated it, and couldn't wait to have it at a length that i knew how to style again.

I was sooooooo sick of my hair by the time the wedding rolled around...I hate having long hair, I find it hard to manage and esp in the summer I hate having all that hair around my head making me hot.

I cut off ~7 inches 2 days after the wedding because I didn't want to go on my honeymoon with all that hair and have cut it twice since then...once I got bangs and the second I cut it shorter than the first...trying to get in for a haircut on Tuesday to cut it shorter still. Its so much easier to handle short!

i didnt want to spend the $$ on cutting my hair before the wedding. and since my hair was gong to be up, it didnt matter the length. so it took me 9 months to finally get around to cutting it, which was on Monday. I wont call it a newlywed chop cuz thats way cute for how my hair looks. i look like a doofus with my new hair.

I will NEVER chop off my hair again. i cut off 11 inches before we got engaged to donate. i HATE myself with short hair. it's finally getting to my boobs down. im used to hair past my boobs and sticking with that FOREEEEEEEEVER!

I grew mine out of the wedding, but my new cut was just something different. I was sick of the old style.

i grew mine out for the wedding...usually i grow it out and thenchop it short...i chopped it after the wedding and won't do it again for a LONG time.I was not happy with my haircut at all!

i have been waiting to get it cut foreverrrrrr

and its been really difficult for me to find a hairstylist i trust with the crazy curls and frizz and whatnot

so i figured now was the time! and i didnt want to deal with the long unruly hair on the 3 wk honeymoon!

so the monday after the wedding (we left for HM tuesday morning), i went to the city to a special curly hair salon. gave them my CC and said 'go'

My hair was getting WAY too long.........I just couldn't deal with it anymore. It took forever to dry, would constantly end up in knots, and would just lay flat with absolutely no body.
