When to follow up with job interview?? UPDATE!

When to follow up with job interview?? UPDATE!

Okay so I had an interview on Friday and the guy interviewing me said that he would either call me later that day or today and I havent heard from him yet. I followed up with a thank you email on Friday after the interview. Do you think I should follow-up with a phone call later today since he said he would know by today or does that seem too eager??

Update: I got the job!! He called this morning and offered it to me and I'm starting tomorrow!

i would wait till Tues or Wed to follow up with a phone call.
