Where to Search for Bedroom Furniture?
DH and I were going to go to Bob's back in October and buy bedroom furniture when our wedding money, when we realized we had to redo our heating system and the money was re-allocated.So now DH had a stock his grandfather bought him when he was 10 that split and he wants to sell it and use it to buy our bedroom furniture. We actually have more money to play with then we would have before.
We are trying to decide if we should still go to Bobs. I have heard that the furniture only lasts a few years and I hate to spend a ton of $ on furniture we will have to replace in a few years.
Who has had good experience with Bobs? A bad one?
Where else should we search for slightly higher quality bedroom furniture?

Re: Where to Search for Bedroom Furniture?
We bought our bedroom set from Bob's and the bed fell apart after three months. (Not even a fun reason either, I was sick and had just gotten tucked into bed by DH when it fell.)I really like Ashley. The furniture is a bit more expensive but we got our new bed there along with the majority of our other furniture and it's durable and looks and feels great.

Re: Where to Search for Bedroom Furniture?
We just bought all of our living room/dining room furniture from Raymour and Flannigan... they had some really nice things and aren't TOO expensive. We just bought a sectional from Bob's for the basement, but it hasn't even been delivered yet so I don't know what the quality is like.

Re: Where to Search for Bedroom Furniture?
We have bedroom furniture from Bob's. We got it in December and the set that we got is VERY sturdy. Some of their cheaper sets looked like they'd crap out after a few years but the one we got seems to be well built. We bought a king size bed with a leather headboard and footboard that was not part of a set and substituted it in for the bed in the set we liked. We have two nightstands, a vanity with mirror, and a chest of drawers. All of that, with the mattress and frame and everything was about $3500.

Re: Where to Search for Bedroom Furniture?
We got our bedroom set at Raymour and Flanigan. We just made sure to get one of the few that was solid wood, not particleboard and veneer. Unfortunately, our set was discontinued from the store shortly after, but it's available through other stores as well. Despite stupid issues on most of the pieces, I would still recommend it.

I bought my bedroom and dining room furniture from Thomasville and although it's $$$ it's the best quality I saw out there, Ethan Allen is right up there as well. It's they type of furniture to last you a very very long time.

Re: Where to Search for Bedroom Furniture?
I hate hate hate Bobs, never ordering anything from them again. They lost a piece of our couch and then found it two weeks later. Nothing but stress....and honestly, i'm not happy for the quality, our ikea stuff has held up better!

Re: Where to Search for Bedroom Furniture?
we got our bedroom set from bobs and we have no complaints!! the set we have is great, very sturdy, it even survived the move!i would suggest getting the goof proof if you buy from bobs, because if anything happends to the set, they will replace it up to 5 years!
we wanted to get another night table for our bedroom cuz the set only comes with one, and our set is actually discontinued, so pretty much i gotta call goof proff and they will replace the whole set.
