Re: Winter Weekend Getaway

Deer Hill Inn in Vermont.

http://deerhillinn.com

I did a review on here FOREVER ago and there's an entry about it on my blog. It was seriously AMAZING. So romantic, and the food was the best I've ever eaten in my entire life.

Re: Winter Weekend Getaway

Ooh I just looked at both of these and they look great! Deerhill is about an hour less of travel so that's prob better. Do you have the link to your blog? I'd love to read it!

It's funny....every year when we're planning this I think maybe we'll go to Monhonk! Then I see the prices....
For the weekend we're going it's $500 a night That's what we paid for our honeymoon!

eta that's the cheapest/smallest room they have!

yeah they are nuts. but the food is included - and i think all the amenities

umm...just another suggestion...not super romantic, but kinda kitchy fun...what about a dude ranch? DH and i went for our one-year dating anniversary trip (yeah, so classy). but it was fun! they have hay rides, marshmellow roasts, atv riding and horses

Re: Winter Weekend Getaway

We are obssessed with the Poconos!! We rent a house in the winter with friends, but you guys could go to a lodge or hotel with a fireplace and cuddle and relax. It's so fun! And skiing/snowboarding is GREAT!! i cant wait for Feb so we can go again!
