It took me a few weeks to get around to this but here it goes. It’s a bit long winded at times but I found everyone’s reviews so helpful. I am going to try and get it all down. My wedding was the best day of my life. I hope it can help some other brides. First things first I have to thank Ron and Liz for this wonderful site. I first found this site just over 2 years ago. I was watching all the 05 brides plan there weddings. I got so many ideas. When I first signed up there was only a few 07 brides. We felt like our day was soooo far away. But now I can’t believe how fast the time went. If seems like a big blur. I would like to thank all of the girls for all of there help. (Especially through all the rough times) There was always someone on here willing to help no matter what the issue is. Time for the review here goes……

Mother Nature-A++++++++++++++ 2 weeks prior to my wedding we had a bad winter storm. I kept thinking that the warm weather was never going to come. Well the day of my wedding came and it was BEAUTIFUL!! 65 and sunny. I got to take all of my pictures outside. I did not need any jackets. My father went and got all flowers and filled up the front and the back of the house for pictures. I could not have asked for a better day!!

LIMO - ROYALTY - A+++++++++++ This is the only limo company that I meet with. I priced many companies over the phone and found Royalty to have the best prices for the limos that I wanted. I went to a show case and booked with Manny on the spot. When time came for the final appt I went in and he went over everything with me detail by detail. He then gave us a small gift. If was soo nice. The day of the wedding I had Cadillac Escalade come to my house and the limo buss went to pick up the guys. They upgraded the limo buss free of charge. DH was like a kid in a toy store once he got in it. I have to say that I forgot the drivers names (sorry) but they where both amazing. They where both early they knew how to get to the church and the reception without any problems. They set up the runner at the church and fixed my dress and veil as I was getting ready to walk down the aisle.
DJ- FM Entertainment A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
What can I say about Frank that has not already been said. He is amazing!!!! Going into the planning process this was my biggest fear was having a bad DJ. I had booked one that I canceled when I did not get the right feeling. I went and meet with Frank in his office. He put on a mini show to give you an idea of how it was going to be on your wedding day. I feel in love!! We booked FM Entertainment on the spot. The weeks leading up to the wedding they where in contact with us making sure all final plans where set. We ended up adding a Cocktail hour Lounge Singer that my guests can’t stop talking about. He was so good that they had to keep looking to see if it was a real person because he sounded so AMAZING! Frank was my MC and I also had a DJ. Frank got everything perfect (I had a lot of details) He had everyone up from the second we started walking in till they where cleaning up the tables around us. He did his job and more!! My wedding was AMAZING and he played a big part in making it this way. All FM Entertainment brides you don’t have a single thing to worry about. Just sit back and let Frank take it over.

Flowers- Flower Barn A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
When I started looking at florists I had a hard time figuring out what I wanted. I meet with 3 florists. But I could not get my mind off of Flower Barn. Mike had so many amazing ideas that just fit exactly what I was looking for. I got a 3 piece low centerpiece, with rose petals all along the table. I wanted the room to look elegant. Mike himself set up my reception room. When I first walked in to my room I was in tears!! It was BEAUTIFUL!! There was nothing that he missed. He took care of my cake and made it look like a cake from a magazine. The tables, the sweetheart table, the place card table, there was nothing missed. The
boo-k’s all where to die for. He made the perfect flower girl basket for my niece. I even added 2 corsages last minute. Of course nothing was a problem. Everything was perfect!! Every time I look at my pictures I can’t believe how beautiful all of my flowers are!! Mike is just amazing at what he does.

I first meet with Mike at a Bridal Showcase and really liked his work. I went and meet with a few different companies and ended up booking with Mike at Lavender. Over the 2 years prior to booking him we spoke a few times back and forth as I had questions. We set up an engagement shoot and loved the pictures. The day of the wedding Mike (photo) and Steve (video) came to my house early and ready to start. I gave Mike a stack of pictures that I liked. He got every picture without question. Once the reception started you did not even know that they where there. My proofs are AMAZING!! They bring me to tears just looking at them. The day seemed to go bye so fast yet I have pictures that capture every little moment. I had to upgrade the albums because I couldn’t choose from all of the proofs. The proofs where ready 4 days after the wedding. I went in to the office to go over my album. I was there for over 2 hours. Mike was so patient with me and my 1000 questions. Lavender was AMAZING!!

DOC- Simone Summers- A+++++++++++++++
Simone was in contact with me from the day I hired her till I was all settled at the end of my wedding night. In the end I am glad I hired a DOC. She took care of so many little things this day; I am not sure who would have done them. She was even there to calm me down when I had a few crazy moments. 8 months pregnant and all she cared about the whole day was me. She was on her feet taking care of all of my 300 details. There was not a thing that went wrong. Everything was perfect.


Makeup- Jackie from I make up you- A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Again another amazing vendor. I had a run in with a patient at work the week of my wedding. She managed to cover some pretty nasty bruises. I had airbrushing. It stayed on the whole day. Even after eating, dancing, and tons of pictures it still looked perfect. She showed up to my house on time and ready to go.

Dress- David’s Bridal- A
I heard a lot of good things and not so good things about David’s Bridal. In the end I had a good experience. I got my dress off the rack for an amazing price. They made it look brand new. My only complaint was during my dress trails. I went for a fitting and alterations needed to be made. I came back 3 weeks later for my final fitting and nothing was done on it. They did fix it all in the end and my dress was perfect. They pressed it all 2 days before the wedding.

Rings and Invitations- A++++++++++++++++++++++ Rena Marie Jewelers in East Meadow- Jimmy did all of our rings and also my day of necklace. It’s great to walk into a family owned shop where they all know your name and ask how the wedding planning is going. All of our jewelry is BEAUTIFUL! I can’t say enough about Jimmy. We also ordered our invitations through them. Once again perfect no problems.

The night of the wedding - The Inn at Fox Hollow- C-
This was the only thing that I can say did not go as planned. My father checked me in during the afternoon. He put my bag in the room and left. We had a total of 18 rooms plus ours. Once the night was over and we went back to the room we realized that we did not have anything they promised us in the bridal suite. I went to use the bathroom and the toilet would not flush. One of my groomsman who was in my room called the front desk. They said there are not support services at night but we can come down and get a plunger. WHAT!!!!!! Yeah what a picture what would have been me in my wedding dress plunging toilets. Eventually my best man fixed the toilet. Then we call back and ask for everything that we are supposed to have in our room. They told me sorry but it was all put in a different room. OK so now what am I supposed to do. They advised me that I have to speak to a manger in the AM they can’t help me now. I explained to them that this was my wedding night fixing it tomorrow is not going to help. My best man got on the phone AGAIN and raised some hell with a few words said they at least brought us our champagne. The following morning we ate breakfast with all of our guests. This was the only good part. Everyone else loved there room and had no problems. As we where checking out they gave us 1 dz roses and a card saying sorry. IN the end I don’t think 1 dz roses fixes the fact that they ruined the night in the hotel.

Honeymoon- Sandals in Bahamas / Liberty Travel Levittown - Christine A++++++++
BEAUTIFUL and RELAXING!! We booked 3 weeks before the wedding and it all went perfect. Loved every minute of it. The only complaint is that we had to come home.

Ok I think you get the point. They are AMAZING!!! The second you pull in the parking lot they are waiting for you. Cindy was my Bridal Attendant and Harry was the MD. Cindy took my hand getting out of the buss and told me anything I want or need they will get it for me. We walked inside and they took everything off of the buss. We did not have to lift a finger. Once I told them what DH and I drank there was never a moment that we did not have an ice cold full drink in our hands. We ending up taking pictures out side since the weather was beautiful. They brought us food and drinks outside. Cindy even fixed my bustle since it ripped getting out the limo earlier. She fixed my flower girls dress she ripped the bottom. We where able to make it to the cocktail hour I asked to be taking out with ½ hour left so DH and I could spend time together. Cindy came and brought us back to the bridal suite. She brought us food and even covered me with a table cloth to protect my dress. I can’t say enough about the Fox Hollow. I am still getting thank yous from my guests that this was the best wedding that they have been to. There was nothing that Fox Hollow could have done that they didn’t. Every minute of my wedding was AMAZING!! It all went so fast but in the end this was the best day of my life and I have to thank Fox Hollow for helping all of my wedding dreams come true. Cindy and Harry don’t get paid enough for what they do. PS- give you lipstick to you BA. Every time we went to take pictures Cindy was making sure my lipstick was on. She is the best.

Cindy is great! I love her!! I worked with her for a while.. the staff is amazing.. I'm glad you enjoyed you wedding.. my fh might have even worked it!!
