April 23, 2005 Review


I am going to post a full review but it will be in sections.

The day started out at 5am... And Raining.... But I loved every moment of it...

Huntington Townhouse A++
Cocktail Hour Room - Townhouse
Reception Room - Governors

Just to start out the day we had the whole entire place to ourselves... As we arrived our Matre'D was waiting for us to take us up to the bridal suite... We immediately started to take pictures... My bridal attendant was getting us drinks and food if we wanted... I was shown both rooms before the guests started to arrive and they did such a wonderful job on them... In the cocktail room they placed votive candles on each table just because they wanted to... And it looked great... The reception room was amazing... They really did work hard preparing for our wedding.... Steven Silver came up to see us and to see if we needed anything... I thought that was SO nice...

All day they did such a wonderful job making sure that not only we were taking care of but our guests as well... The bartender we in the back and pulled out not only a 12 year old bottle of scotch but a 14 year as well... And our Matre'D had given us a beautiful Swan ice sculpture as well...

If we had to do it all over again... I would go right back to the Townhouse... Everyone was just so nice and helpful...

I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a really nice place to get married at such a reasonable rate.

Ray Terranova did such a wonderful job with all of our flowers... We choose all spring flowers with really bright colors to accent the beautiful skylight in the room...

All of the flowers and boquets were beautiful... They lasted just over 2 weeks after our wedding... And my boquet is still alive...

I would recommend Terranova's to anyone who wants beautiful long lasting flowers and a very good price...





Whitestar Limosuine A+

I have nothing but good things to say... They showed up on time with such a beautiful limo for me and my husband to be....

My limo driver Rich was great... He was very professional and just a bunch of fun... He made my trip to the church a fun one... As well as our trip to the Townhouse...

When he came back to pick us up after the reception, I ordered a town car and he showed up with one of the best... It was a 4-6 passanger car fully loaded with drinks...

There prices are just right and you can create whatever you need... Once again I recommend them...


Elmo Sollitto - Photographer A+

The photographer he sent to shoot our wedding was Sue and her assistant... They were great... She also did my brothers wedding and all of her shots are great...

She did excately what I wanted and got all the pictures in.. She did some really good shots of me and my husband by the piano...

Elmo has really good packages and he does a great job... Highly recommend...

Classic Video A
West Babylon, NY

Classic video did a very good job the day of the wedding... As soon a I get the final video I can give you more of a better review...

There was some things I was not happy about .. My husband did say that they got no shots of him and the guys before I arrived, which was what I wanted...

But on the good side of things, at the wedding I saw them video taping everything... But yet your barely knew they were there... They stayed out of the way of everybody...


L&S Entertainment / Diamond Cut A++

Our DJ was great he knew everything we liked and did a freat job.... I told him the songs to play during the enterance and he actually picked our song that we came into...

I told him I was leaving our wedding in his hands... Basically play what you want, do what you want, just get people up and dancing... He did just that... we had alot of fun with him...

You want to have a good time at your wedding go with them.... There great...


Make up - Jackie A++
I make up u

Jackie did a wonderful job not only on me but with all of my party.... she came over my home around 7am. She puts your make up on and you don't even know that it is there... That airbrush make up is wonderful... It stays on forever, or until you take it off.... She made me look so beautiful...

I recommend her to everyone... She not only does a great job, but she is such a nice person too... She really enjoys her work and it shows...




Hair - Carmela A

Carmela works with Jackie. She does a really good job and she is so nice.... She does come to your home. She arrived at my house at 5:30am and she did excately what I wanted and also did all of my girls and my mom...

I recommend using her. She has good rates and she is such a nice person... We had so much fun that day.. So early in the morning...


Dress - Lynbrook Bridal F

My dress is such a soar subjuct... I would NOT ever recommed going to Lynbrook Bridal for you bridal gown.... From the word go I had problems... But yet once you put down that money you lose it if you cancel....

Let's start out by saying that I ordered my dress on a Tuesday and by Monday of that next week they just placed the order, due to the fact that I had to go back in 3 times for measurements prior to them ordering my dress. They never said that they need my measurements the day I gave them my money... So they said that the company that manufactures the dress makes the dress custom to your height due to all the lace overlay... I said ok... For less alterations I did it ... and said nothing...

Then the dress came in the wrong size... 2 & 1/2 inches too long.... I asked them to send it back and they said well if you put a slip under it, it should be fine... We tried it and still I was not happy but we made it work... By the time I was ready to start fittings the dress did not fit again... I was pissed... I told them that the dress should have been sent back and done over... the owner said she would take care of everything... I found out that someone took my new slip and gave me an old one, thats why it did'nt fit.

To keep this short ... By the day I was picking my dress up I looked it over and found it dirty... there were stains on it and the bottom was all dirty... They had to clean it again.. Second time 2 days before my wedding... I went to pick up my dress and yet I found 1 more stain and the bottom still dirty.. The owner said I cant get the dirt off the bottom of the lace because it is from the carpet... I just had it cleaned...

Now day of wedding... the dress must have been hanging wrong because it did not fit.. Yet still too long... I had such beautiful straps in the back ... they kept popping open.. my bridal attendant had to sew them on... oh yeah and I found a hole in the dress....

All in all NEVER go to Lynbrook Bridal to purchase a dress...... They are very unprofessional and rude and does nothing to fix problems that may arise...

I would NOT recommend them to anyone here... I would never want anyone to go through what I did...



Thank god I did not let my dress ruin my day... We might have had rain all day and problems with my dress but it was the most happiest days of my life... And it is because I married not only my best friend but the love of my life...

Congratulations on your wedding. That's so unfortunate about your dress!
Could you post or send me the contact info for your hair and makeup people? I also need people to come to me at some really early hour! Were their prices reasonable?

Congratulations!

I'm sorry to hear about your dress experience at Lynbrook Bridal. However, my experience has been good so far. I just went for my first fitting and will have my 2nd fitting in August. I hope that it will be a smooth transaction for me until the end.

A co- worker of mine was in the process of oredering her BM dresses through Lynbrook Bridal. The girls had put money down to order the dresses and were going in for measurements. One of her BMs lives in CA so she had to call in her measurements. Thesalesgirl on the phone said to her,'Whoa you're a large one. I hope they can order such a large dress.' Needless to say my coworker flipped out and switched her dress order to a place that respects her and her BM. I wouldn't even consider using Lynbrook Bridal.

I'm glad you had a great day despite your dress woes. We had similar problems with Lynbrook bridal. I left there and fought and got my deposits back and went elsewhere for my and my BP's dresses. I agree, I would never recommend them to anyone!
