Dancerbride's Review-5/20/07-Thomas Paul Photography, Classie Sounds, etc...
Hello all,Finally!!! Here is my review, I have been so busy and have been meaning to write this for everyone. The day was amazing, I wish I could do it all over again!! Just remember to savor every moment of it and don’t sweat the small stuff. The following are reviews. I want to re-iterate that these are my opinions and I am hoping that all the other brides out there can learn from my mistakes!!! Feel free to contact me with any questions.
Christine
Weather- A
I was so worried that it was going to rain that day as I was having an outdoor ceremony. It rained the day before, but somehow the weather held up well and we were able to get married outside. The sun was even out!!!
Party City in Maspeth, NY(invitations)- A
I got my invitations from party city and received 30% off of my order. It was a great discount. I was slightly hesitant as I was unsure whether or not the invitations would come out correct. I gave myself plenty of time just in case they did not. Well I received them in two weeks and they came out perfect. No problems and party city called me immediately when they came in. I would definitely recommend them!!

Re: Dancerbride's Review-5/20/07-Thomas Paul Photography, Classie Sounds, etc...
Lillette’s Bridal in Baldwin, NY(bridesmaid dresses)- AMy bridemaids got their dresses from Lillettes. They came in a timely fashion and the alterations were perfect. No problems and the customer service was great.
Anna from Elite (hair) and Nicole @MaryKay (makeup) in Queens, NY- A++
My good friend and hairdresser Anna did my hair. She recommended a makeup person-Nicole. They were both wonderful and I was so happy with how my hair and makeup came out.
Le Bella Couture in Dobbs Ferry, NY (brides dress)- C+
I live in Westchester and thought that it might be better to find a dress in Westchester for convenience. Well, I did have some difficulty with the company- the owner was very unprofessional and disorganized. I witnessed her yelling at her workers and noticed that she was treating customers poorly. I was lied to and showed up for multiple fitting without anything done to the dress. I almost had to pick up my dress completely wrinkled because it was not ready. I would not recommend this company and do know that other brides have had difficulty with them as well.
Father Joseph DeVincenzo (Priest) - A+++
Father DeVincenzo was absolutely amazing. He added humor and laughter to the ceremony. Everyone loved him and I received comments afterward how great the ceremony was. We had a tough time with the hall and he pulled me to the side when I was very upset and was able to calm me down. I highly recommend him!!!

Re: Dancerbride's Review-5/20/07-Thomas Paul Photography, Classie Sounds, etc...
Classie Sounds in Brooklyn, NY(music)- A++++My brother used classie sounds for his wedding and I really liked them. I had Keith as my MC and he truly got everyone up to dance. He was dedicated to making my party wonderful. He went above and beyond when I was having difficulty with the hall and tried his best to problem solve the situation. The music was great and I received comments on how they tuned into the needs of the crowd. If you are looking for music, definitely check them out!!!
Thomas Paul Photography in Lindenhurst, NY(photography)-A++++++++++++++++++++++
I can’t even tell you how much I loved this vendor. From the beginning, Tom went out of his way to make me and my husband feel comfortable (my husband hates pictures). His work is truly amazing and he is so dedicated to the needs of his clients. I received phone calls periodically just to check in. My engagement shoot was perfect (pics in my album) and the day of the wedding he captured every moment. Looking at the proofs was just a reminder of how great the day was. The proofs came out amazing and I cannot wait to put together my album. It was so hard to choose a thank you card!!! He was my favorite vendor and I will recommend him to my younger sister who will be getting married in 09. I will post some pics, however my computer is old and was not able to get them all. The pictures will speak for themselves!!!
After Hours Formal wear in Middletown, NY, White plains NY and Garden City- A
My husband, groomsmen and ring bearer all got their tuxes from After Hours. It was convenient as everyone lived in different locations. No problems, everything fit and came out great!
A t l a n t i c F l o r a l in Freeport NY (Flowers)- C+
I did not have any difficulty with this vendor until the day of the wedding. I had given the owner a picture of the exact replica of a cascading bouquet that I wanted and was told that it would cost $200. I said no problem because my bouquet was the most important. Well when I got my bouquet, it looked nothing like the picture. I had two maid of honors and paid to have their bouquets larger than my bridesmaids. Well….all the bouquets were the same size, including mine. The second I saw it, I was so upset. When I addressed it with one of the workers, she stated that she had never been given a copy of the picture. I was definitely cheated. The owner did attempt to fix it prior to the wedding, however I had my heart set on the bouquet that I wanted and paid for. I did not realize that you have to get everything in writing, down to the detail of how many flowers and what kind, etc…The centerpieces came out great as did the bridesmaids bouquets and the daias.I actually liked the bridemaids bouquet better.
(below are pics of the bouquet I wanted as opposed to the bouquet I got).

Re: Dancerbride's Review-5/20/07-Thomas Paul Photography, Classie Sounds, etc...
Four Points Sheraton in Plainview, NY (hotel)- AThe hotel was great. I blocked 15 rooms. We stayed two nights-before and after as did some of our guests. The rooms were great and they were accommodating. The only thing is that not all of our rooms were together, but we did ask to switch some of them and they did. Very nice staff!!!
Overall……I truly had a beautiful wedding…..and I had so much fun…….enjoy every moment!!!
I will try now to post pics...but they are in my album......

You were such a beautiful bride! Your pics are great! Sorry about the issues you had with your hall, and you are totally right...they should have simply chosen to cater to that one wedding. In any event, I'm glad you had a great day regardless. Congratulations!

First off, let me say Congratulations to you and your husband!! Your pictures are beautiful, and you looked so pretty!!I am SO sorry you had such problems with Woodbury. If you don't mind my asking, but who was your BM, and your Maitre'd? I know your wedding is over, but I hope WCC does something to make up for what they did to you.... I'm so nervous now!

You were such a gorgeous bride! Congratulations!! I am so sorry that you had to deal with all of that strife and turmoil on your wedding day! My brother got married there and it was a fabulous event. I seriously hope you do more than make a complaint with the BBB and SUE THEM!! They were clearly in breach of contract. GL sweetie!

Congratulations. Your picture are beautiful as are you. I am so sorry the hall was terrible. You are right, they shouldn't have booked you for that day if the other wedding was so much more important. I hope you get some sort of compensation from them.
