First, I want to start by saying I was not a very frequent poster on this board, mostly because I planned my wedding in 5 months!! But, I got so many wonderful ideas here and wanted to be sure I got a review up and posted!!

We had a beautiful, beautiful day and my new husband was wonderful!!! He was elated and that made the day all the more beautiful and memorable!!! I will post some professional pics once they are in.

Okay….. here I go…

Invitations & Tic Tac Labels – MyJeanM.Com…. A

Although they were a bit pricy, my invitations were well worth the cost. Also, my response cards had a minor error and the customer service was fantastic!! They immediately overnighted me new responses and I had them two days after my phone call. The tic tac labels were adorable and were a big hit!!!



Programs & Petal Cones – WhiteAisle.Com…..A-

We ordered programs and petal cones printed, but needed assembly. The programs took a little longer to come in than expected (so be certain to order as early as you can). Both were very nice.

Slightly pricey, but we were addimant that we wanted to have our favorite wine as favors to give away. My husband bought me a bottle of Riesling on one of his first visits to my apartment and since then, we have sort of adopted it as “our wine”. The favors came out gorgeous. The bags I ordered on papermart were much cheaper than anywhere else we saw them. Also, MyWeddingLabels was fantastic… they have great bottleneck labels, so you can keep the bottles label intact.

Cake & Place Card Cookies – Rolling Pin Bakery……..B+

The place card cookies were phenomenal… everyone loved them, a big hit. The cake was okay, not my favorite part of the day. Also, the communication prior to the day of was a bit scattered. We communicated with the baker via e-mail and we had some last minute issues because he could not fit the names and table numbers on the cookies. In the end, they did a good job by making calligraphy tags for the cookies.


Flowers – Hestenberg Florist……… B

My table centerpieces were absolutly amazing, but I wasn’t thrilled with the bouquets. They were pretty, but I was expecting something much nicer after having seen some of the photos on here. The prices were VERY reasonable and the woman I dealt with was nice, but I just didn’t love the bouquets.

Limousines – M&V Limos………. D-

They sent us a limo with no A/C and spent the whole trip telling us the A/C was on. I could have passed out in the limo. Also, when we booked with them, they were more pricey than other companies, but, I agreed to go with them because they were giving us free transportation to the airport the night of. Well, when I called to confirm they insisted that this was not part of the package. The person I needed to talk to was not in… they advised he would call me that evening. He never did. Three phone calls later, I finally got them to acknowledge it was in the contract and they provided the service. Also, the day of the Driver had an outdated map and he was 15 mins. Late to my house. The only reason I am giving them a D, instead of an F, is because they honored the contract.

Photographer – Gary Leli…………A++++

Going into this, the photographer was THE MOST important vendor for us to select. We agreed that we would go as far as necessary, and see 100 if it meant finding the right one. Gary was recommended to me by a friend at work and he was just as amazing as she said he would be. He arrived on time, was terrific through the process and had really great ideas for photos. Our engagement pics came out awesome… Once I see the proofs, I will add more. However, so far I am THRILLED with my photographer selection.

Videographer – Timeless Treasures…..A++++

What can I say? Ray was amazing the day of, I don’t even remember seeing him all day, other than when he arrived and left. I cannot wait to see the finished product. We absolutely LOVED, LOVED his samples and are super excited about the video.

DJ – Vinny High Voltage…..A+

Vinny was FANTASTIC. He played the music exaclty as I asked him to, got to the Country Club Early and was very professional. We liked Vinny from the second we met him, because he was not overly selling us. He is relaxed, easy going and was awesome to deal with….

Hair & Make Up – M I A B*** Lo****…..A+

Again, another great LIW vendor find. Mia was awesome. She brought another make-up artist with her and they got to my house on time and had everyone ready in a flash. They were very considerate and kind throughout the entire morning. I felt like a movie star when she was done with my hair and make up!!!

Ceremony & Cocktail Hour Music….. Marie Stack….. A+++

Marie was FANTASTIC. She was in contact with me constantly to insure that the music was everything I wanted and it turned out to be just that. She confirmed with me very early on and stayed in touch throughout the planning. Best of all, she is EXTREMELY reasonable. Her prices are unbeatable. This was a last minute throw in as I really wanted to have a violinist. Well, to my surprise, we were able to get a violinist, a pianist and a trumpet… and we had so many compliments on the beautiful music.


Bellport Country Club…..A+++++++++++++++

The Country Club was exceptional. We looked at 12 places before coming to a decision. We looked at every end of the spectrum including The Carltun, The Garden City Hotel…. I was elated by our choice to have it at the Country Club. Our wedding was small and they treated us no different than they would have a wedding of 200. The food was delicious, and

Honeymoon…. Royal Hideaway……A++++++++++++

This was a 5 star honeymoon. My husband and I have traveled frequently and both been to many countries, islands, hotels, cruises, etc. By far, Royal Hideaway was one of the most incredible places either of us have ever been. We stayed 10 days 9 nights, and were treated like Royalty. We had four handed massages by the water, drank frosty drinks, saw the Mayan Ruins, got exfoliated and ATE, ATE and ATE some more. It was all we both dreamed of and then some. The place is immaculate and the food is to die for……FM me with any questions if you are going. I have some tips for the beach chairs and umbrellas!!!
