FIXED**my September13 butterfly filled wedding,m i a,chateau la mer, verbana designs,right angle studios

My day was amazing seriously it was everything I wanted it to be, I ate my food, I enjoyed my guest and I dance dance dance! No of those sterotypes applied to me, maybe because I was aware of them and tried to avoid them. Me and DH were so into each other and the whole day, we truly enjoyed it. I will try to give a review of everyone to the best of my ability and my rating scale is A+++ are basically the best and the vendors who truly made my day. Not say the other ones didn’t! However, the ones I give that grading to I dealt with for a good part of that day and therefore they had the power to make or break my day.
Lets not forget how this all began. On 8/9/08 dh prosposed to me at Magic Kingdom on one knee under the fireworks. Truly magical ! Now on to my review!

ME! I give myself credit for pulling this off ha! I am not majorly crafty however I did create my menus, flowergirl baskets, my table numbers,cardbox and cake topper. I will post pics eventually. My menus were from a set of wilton invitations. They were like sparkly ivory and a pocket fold so for each insert I put a course on it. Apps, entrees and desserts. My cardbox was also wilton, I just glued a butterfly on it. My cake topper was a “C” I purchased from Wrap with us in Plainveiw and I glued all the rhinestones on it which I got from Michaels. I also got my baskets from Michaels. I spray painted them gold and hot glued some butterflies on them as well as ribbon. My table numbers were my engagement pics which I uploaded to picnic (maybe be spelled wrong lol) and put “Table 1” etc. on. I then purchased frames from the dollar store, glued butterflies on them and tada!

E V E N S T A R P A P I E R- A+- I never cared about invites mostly cause I never thought I could afford them. I absolutely was obsessed with my invites. They were so unique and gorgeous. Pics are in my album. The yellow was the exact color of my bm dresses. I gave her my theme and so inspiration clips and she created a masterpiece.

Fruition Events- A+- Meg was so nice and accomodating while creating my placecards. I gave her a copy of my invite and stressed to her how much I like coordination, she searched high and low and found the same exact paper used for the yellow on my invites to use as a border on my placecards. She even made a butterfly that matched the one on my invites on the corner of each placecard!

Mori Lee bridal gown/Alterations and Jordan Impression flowergirl dress from Bridal Elegance in Dix Hills, NY- A+- From day one Suzy and Philis were so accommodating letting me take pics of dresses I like (not everyone does that) The dress I ended up with was thanks to Suzy telling me to try everything on and be open minded. Price was great, alterations were a little high but whatever. My dress and the flowergirl dress came in exactly when I was told. I absolutely recommend them.

BM dresses Jim Hjlem from Bridal Suite Centerport, NY A+- My favorite designer for BM dresses is Jim Hjlem. They are so different and classy. Everyone loved the. I ordered them from Bridal Suite cause of their reputation and competitive price. All 5 of my girls dresses were perfect and come in when they were suppose to.

Veil and slip from Barrons in Tri-County-A+ Everything they say about Barrons is true. Very friendly and their prices could not be beat.

Greekwave (DJ)-B-: The reason I am giving them a low grade is because I met with him beforehand to discuss music and he totally didn’t do what me and DH asked him to. DH is greek and I am latin and we both were born and raised here. I stressed to him that I wanted the music to be a mix of Spanish/greek/America. On the day of he really played more greek than we wanted and honored only the greek requests. This did not come to my attention till after the wedding when me and DH looked back. Also, my entrance songs were soo important to me and he played the beginning of my parents entrance song for a few seconds before switching to our song which REALLY ticked me off (the parents entrance song was B.E.P I got a feeling and me and DH song was Kelly Rowland when love takes over.)Other than that they were very nice to work with.

Camelot Limos-A- Joe is awesome and gave us a great price on a rolls, and 2 lincolins. On the day of the groomsman limo turned out to be a Navigator which was awesome! Drivers were professional and nice, showed up early. I am giving him only an A cause my comp ride never showed up! Joe did call me first thing the next morning and offered to have a car take us to the airport. Overall, excellent vendor.

Verbana Designs-A+! Jen was a pleasure to work with. She was always to nice everytime I spoke to her. She made sure that all my flowers were gorgeous but, in the budget I gave her. She loved butterflies which worked to my advantage! My Centerpieces were tall flowertowers with 2 stems of yellow lilies and curly willow branches with butterflies on them. They matched my theme, were different and price efficient. I never though my budget would give me centerpieces I would “love” but I truly adore them!

Rehersal Dinner at Papa Joes in Deer Park A!!- I called around and some places gave me a per plate cost like a freaking RH! I wanted alcohol included (beer wine) and I wanted a Saturday. The nice thing about papa Joes is they have a smaller room strickly for parties of 20 plus. The food was awesome, service was great and we never felt rushed.

Now, last but not least, the ones who I couldn’t have lived without…

M****I******A from *********************** A+++- Seriously, if she was $1,000 day of I would of paid it and smiled. I loved my hair and makeup not to mentioned it lasted me till 3am when I was in my bathroom rubbing it off! I really felt like a gorgeous princess which is how I wanted to feel. She arrived early (6am!) and went straight to work. ALL OF MY GIRLS HAIRS STAYED! They all loved how they looked. My hair didn’t even flinch from my grand entrance on the boat.

Right Angle Studios Photography and Video –A+++- From day one DH and I clicked with George. He is an amazing person to work with. So calm and cool. Not to mention his work is sick. I was obsessed with my engagement pictures as I am sure I will be with my wedding pics and video. Girls, go see him guaranteed you will book him. Amazing personality and the day of he was really really great. Loved him

Chateau La Mer, Nick my BM and Jess my bridal attendant all get A++++++- Chateau truly gave me and the DH the best day of our lives. I gave them specific instructions on set up and they followed it all. They were so nice and accomidating, Nick was stressing like it was his wedding day lol he wanted everything to be perfect he really cared and Jess was always right besides me. The food was great, I still hear people talking about my wedding 3 weeks later!

Girls, I must say my wedding was truly a dream come true. Nothing went wrong and I credit it to the great people that made it happen. My advice to any brides to be is do your research, be confident with who your booking. I woke up that day and was unusually calm and that’s cause I was confident that I had the best working for me. Definitely, if anything goes wrong on the day of don’t sweat it but if you have great vendors the chances of things going wrong are less likely.
