After a 10 years together which included a 2 1/2 year engagement we're finally married.....the day was perfect and here's how it all went down The pics are mostly from my dad’s camera chasing duet’s poses

INVITATION: Ourselves – A++++++

Did a lot of price matching and found the best prices for our DIY pocketfold invites. We saw one from Encore Studios that we liked but it would have cost us $1200!!! Our DIY invites were ONLY $400!! Sorry I'll try to find some pics to post here

BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES: RK Bridal (no frills program) A – Alfred Angelo #6333

Loved the fact that they price-matched and beat it too! I was contemplating b/w teal and magenta. SOOOO glad I went with teal, it went great with the pics on the beach.



FLOWERGIRL DRESSES: www.shopbriarpatch.com

Great prices and selections. Their parents bought the dress on their site. Not much else to say.



WEDDING GOWN – Michelle Roth (sample sale) – A ++++++

I had gotten an email a year ago from them about the sale. But I felt bad b/c I had just started a new job that month and asked to leave early, so I can go to the sale. But I’m so glad I did! Went with my mom to the sale in the city and I totally felt like Monica in Friends when she got her dress with Phoebe and Rachel. I got the dress in perfect condition, I just had to get it altered. I TOTALLY fell in love with my dress. Had alterations done in Astoria for a great price. ( I forgot the name of the place, but FM me if you need to know)




HAIR & MAKEUP – Sachiko Yanase – A+++

I had chosen her thru many recommendations thru LIW (especially the asian ones, bc I’m asian as well and very picky, with hair and MU). She came right on time and was very friendly and nice the whole time. She did three other girls as well as myself. Her price included a trial. She was very calm and patient with everyone and did unbelievable work! Definitely get her if you can!!



FLORIST – Designs by Rose – A+
From the very start Doris & Rose (mother-daughter team) were very accommodating and responsive, SUPER NICE. I was totally impressed that they knew each and every bride by their first name. Found them thru LIW as well and they worked within my budget. They did our personals (Bo-K’s , corsages, Boutonnieres). I was SOOOO in love with my Bo-K1! I had orchids in mine to go along with my tropical theme. LOVED these ladies!!!







LIMO – Camelot limo
Cant really comment much on this. They did their job, driving and picking us up, we had the basic 14 psgr white Lincoln stretch. It was clean. Nice chauffeur, I forgot his name. We met with Joe, the owner, very nice as well.

DJ/MUSIC – MusicFlex (DJ Mike Nappi) – B+
They would have gotten an A if it weren’t for the fact that one of the first things that he said to me was that there was a technical problem and they couldn’t get our entrance songs that we had requested. Luckily they had our first dance!! It was nice of him, cuz he played a song from “The Little Mermaid” (my fav menu) during dinner. The great thing about his package is that it includes screens and a digital photographer, so when we got back from our HM, he had sent us pics of our wedding. Overall, he did a great job!
Kept people dancing.

PHOTOGRAPHER/VIDEOGRAPHER – Duet (Jay & Team – Leo, Danny and one more, so sorry I forgot) – A +++ (pending on final proofs)

Our first meeting with Eric the owner at The Wedding Café in the city, it was a bit hard to understand him. But if you’re patient & he speaks slowly, there’s no problem. I liked them b/c they didnt seem like sales people or in-your-face. I loved the photojournalistic style and their reasonable package prices. So when our big day came, I knew I would feel comfy. I never felt they were intruding in my space. I felt they were behind the scenes, yet still took great pics. We totally felt like models that day. They were all over the place, one of my friends said they wish they could get married all over again just so that she could use them. They had great personalities! I cant wait to see some pics….DEFINATELY GO WITH DUET!!!!


JEWELRY: Wedding Ring Originals A+
We got my engagement ring and wedding bands here. Al even surprised and got me a diamond necklace from here as a wedding present. Mel, the owner is great to work with....go see him in the city!

























RECEPTION HALL - The Crescent Beach Club (CBC) – A++++++++++++++

Totally loved this place!! Maybe b/c I’m biased since it the weather turned out perfect and so did everything else.

We had searched over 10 reception places to find the perfect place that no one had ever seen before and we found it at CBC. At first we wanted to get married on 05/27/07 but then they told us the price we asked if there was a less expensive date, which was 05/06/07, which worked out even better in price and even had a cute ring to it! CBC is not only beautiful on the inside but even more on the outside. CBC is located on its on private beach. The view at this place is truly breathtaking. Our cocktail hour was on the beach and we took great pics out there at that time. Their ballroom has glass windows overlooking the later, so you never felt closed in. Open space everywhere! We dealt with Denise, Stacie and Campbell and they were super nice from the very start till the end of our wedding nite. They really took care of us. Our food was delicious from what I ate and what I heard. I couldn’t eat much was too excited that day! Luckily they kept our food for us to take home and eat the next day. Al and I stayed on the dance floor all nite! It was so much fun, we didn’t want it to end. If I had to do it all over again, I would. I’d even spend the same amount of $$......
