March 17, 2007 - Jericho Terrace, High Voltage Sounds, Flowers by Burton, Artisan Photography - OUR BIG FAT IRISH WEDDING!!!

First I would like to say that although I was not a big poster, I did get a ton of useful information from this site. Our wedding would not have been the same without the advice, recommendations and ideas that we found here. Thank you LIWeddings !!

GOWN - Princess Bridal, Farmingdale - A- My dress was amazing, I loved everything about it. I worked with Barbara who was great. My alterations were perfect. I never had to pull up or adjust the dress the whole time I was wearing it. However, the attitudes of some of the employees are pretty poor. Also, they take the tags out of the dresses. So I feel that I probably over paid for my dress.

VEIL/TIARA - Barron's Tri County Flea Market - A++
I loved my veil and tiara. They were perfect. The prices were great. Yana was excellent to work with. They have a large selection of all types of tiaras. I highly recommend them!!

HAIR AND MAKE- UP - Pauline from Special Touch A +++
Pauline did an amazing job. She was on time, even with 5 inches of snow and ice on the ground she still made it to Huntington by 6 am. She did hair and make up for me, my mother and 4 bridesmaids. We were all finished by 11:30 and had plenty of time for pictures. She was easy to work with. I loved my up-do and my makeup, very natural looking. Thanks Pauline!!

BRIDESMAIDS GOWNS - Commack Wedding Center - A
I know there have been a lot of negative posts about this vendor. I too, was leary about using them. But over all I was happy with CWC. I picked Jim Hjelm dresses, the color was Patina. I wanted green for St. Patrick's day but didn't want a emerald or Kelly green. This was a perfect color. It looked great on all the girls. The dresses came into the store 2 months after ordering. Some of the dresses were very big on the girls and needed major alterations. They seemed to measure everyone big. I don't know why. But, the alterations dept. did a fantastic job. Everyone looked great!!

TUXEDOS - S & S Tuxedo, Hicksville - A++
DH picked out 2 button Calvin Klein tuxedos. All the guys wore black vests and ties. DH wore a platinum tie with a black vest. All the tuxedos fit very well. Everyone looked great!! They were very easy to work with. I would highly recommend!

LIMO - Jazz Limousine, Plainview - A
We got a 22 passenger Escalade for 5 hours. We worked with Dean, would was great to work with. We were on time to church and to Jericho Terrace. Thanks Dean!

FLOWERS - Burtons, Melville A+
I loved my flowers!! We worked with John who was great. He had a ton of ideas. My bouquet was amazing, just what I wanted. I had mostly white roses with touches of light pink and stephanotis with pearls. So beautiful! My BM's had mostly pink roses with touches of white. We had low centerpieces. Each one had white and pink roses with green hydrangea and Bells of Ireland. They also had 3 votive candles in the center. It made the room look so pretty with all the candlelight. My only complaint is that we were short one centerpiece. Burton's states they delivered all 17 centerpieces. However they did refund us the money for the missing centerpiece. Who knows what happened to it. Burton's prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend them!

DJ - High Voltage Sounds - A+++++++
What can I say that hasn't been said before?? Vinny is amazing, the best!!! My dance floor was packed the ENTIRE night! Vinny was extremely easy to work with. He played every song that we requested. He did all of our annoucements perfectly. Your DJ can totally make or break your wedding. Vinny totally made our wedding reception a huge success. We love you Vinny!!

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO - Artisan - A ++++ Chuck and Lynn are the best! Easy to talk to and work with. I knew as soon as we met with Chuck that he was the photographer for us. I loved his traditional yet photojornalistic style. He has a great personality and was easy and fun to work with the day of the wedding. We have over 800 proofs. It is going to be very hard to narrow it down to 70 for the album. 'This ones for love baby!!'

RECEPTION - Jericho Terrace - A+++++++++++++++
There are not enough 'plus signs' in the world to express how wonderful this place is! JT was above and beyond my greatest expectation. I had 2 bridal attendants. They were both extremely attentive and professional. Unfortunately I can only remember the name of one of them. Billy was the best, he stayed by my side through all my pictures. I always had a drink in my hand. He also held my dress and my bouquet. It was very weird to have someone do all these things for you. But it all made me feel even more special. Our Maitre'D was Jose. He is the man!! He was in total control of the party. It ran very smoothly. He was very professional and a delight to work with. Jose even surprised us with a martini bar at cocktail hour as his 'gift' to us! It was great! Everything that we had requested was carried out. Our cake was perfect, vanilla cake with chocolate mouse and canoli cream. The food at JT is amazing. We got so many compliments on the food. I only wish I had eaten more of it. But I was so busy dancing and talking had no time to eat. Thank goodness I'm going back January for Nicolern76's wedding!! Now I can finally eat the food! Thank you Jericho Terrace for giving us the wedding reception of our Dreams!!

Hey there- all you need to do is go to the pics you posted in your album, click on each one individually to maximize it. Then you right click on it, and select 'Properties.' Next, copy the 'http' address of the image. When you come to add them to the post, all you have to do is go to Insert Web Image and then paste the http address! Hope that helps.

By the way GREAT review! All it needs is pictures! I'm so glad you were so happy with Vinny and with Burtons- I'm using both for DJ/Flowers.

ETA Just looked at your album- GORGEOUS! Love the green dresses, the flowers. You look beautiful!!! What you can also do is add a direct link to your album in your review post. When you're viewing your album, copy the http address. Then when you come into this post, go to Insert Web Link. It will ask you to name the link first, and then you paste in the address.

Thank you for making things easier for me due to all your hard work (yay for Vinny and Burtons...and of course...JT).

I hope you like your BM dress as much as I liked yours...great color!

269 days! Gotta tell you...2 weddings/bridal parties in one month was so much fun but exhausting...i will need the next 269 days to recover!
