More updated for FABULOUS December 3, 2010 Wedding at Carlyle on the Green
Anthony and I got engaged in July 2009 and had about a year and a half to plan our December 3rd wedding. The proposal was absolutely romantic but I am not going into details here because I want to focus specifically on the vendor reviews.Ceremony & Reception - Carlyle on the Green - A++
We chose to have our ceremony and reception at Carlyle on the Green because of the amazing reviews we read and how beautiful the rooms are. Carlyle lived up to our expectations and so much more! We worked with Cynthia leading up to the wedding and she was awesome to work with. Anytime I contacted her with even the smallest question she replied to me right away. She is extremely organized and made this whole process so much easier! The service we received on the day of the wedding was phenominal. When I arrived at Carlyle I was greeted by Janet, the bridal attendant. Because of her, the day was stress-free and I do not have enough kind words to say about her. She immediately took my flowers and asked for my lip gloss, which she reapplied constantly throughout the entire night. She took me into the bridal suite and we went through everything for my dress changes, all the little details. She then immediately brought me food (which she cut and fed to me) and something to drink. While we were taking pictures outside prior to the ceremony, she was with me the whole time handing me my flowers when needed, fixing my veil, helping with the train, etc. AMAZING! The food and service were also both absolutely fabulous. We received many calls after the wedding from guests telling us this was one of the nicest weddings they had been to, the service was unlike they had ever seen before, and the food was out of this world.
We decided to go the un-traditional route and take our pictures before the ceremony so that we could enjoy the cocktail hour. We were a little hesitant to do this but it ended up being the greatest idea. Carlyle made sure that our 'first-look' was so special and perfect! The moment we first saw each other was truly amazing! We then took pictures together outside (even though it was December it was beautiful) and then went inside for pictures with family and the bridal party. After pictures there was a short rehearsal which I chose not to take part in so I could be alone for a little while and also change into my mother's wedding dress, which I wore for the ceremony only. Our ceremony was held in the beautiful Lenox room. It was perfectly decorated with candles around the entire room and large vases with floating candles and submerged orchids down the aisle. Even though we had already seen each other for pictures, the moment that I walked in and we saw each other was just as magical as our first-look. It was also really neat that I was wearing a different gown. the ceremony went wonderfully and afterwards we were brought back into the bridal suite where there was an assortment of all the foods from cocktail hour laid out for us along with champagne and our favorite drinks. After about 10 minutes in the suite we went into the cocktail hour and it was gorgeous! We got to talk to a few guests and then were brought into the ball room so that we could see everything all set up and practice our first dance. The reception was amazing! We got to try each of the 3 dinners and all the desserts - everything was brought out to us and we never had to ask for a drink. Drinks were brought to us on the dance floor, and all over! I will post some additional pictures because it was all absolutely fabulous!

Rocco and his assistant were AMAZING to work with! They were so professional, a ton of fun, and of course their work is unbelievable! We had a lot of kids in the wedding party and they were also amazing with them. They were very unintrusive and made me feel completely comfortable in front of the camera (which I thought was nearly impossible)!
Here is a link to a few of the pictures they took:

Videographer - DMS Video Productions - A++
Again, absolutely AMAZING! David is truly one of the best in the business! Him and Rocco make a great team and I would definitely recommend hiring them both. The wedding trailer was online within 3 weeks of the wedding, just after we got back from the honeymoon. David and his assistants are extremely professional and again unobtrusive. They showed up earlier than scheduled and captured every moment of this special day. David is so creative and really a genius at what he does. The link is below because I know that this will speak for itself!

Officiant - Reverend Salvatore Umana - A+
Reverend Umana was a wonderful choice for our officiant. Although we only met with him once, he took so much time with me on the phone to review the ceremony and really understood exactly what we wanted - the emotions we wanted, etc. Reverend Umana has a wonderful way of making the ceremony emotional for everyone - people were laughing and then crying, it was very special. You can hear some of it on the video clip above. The ceremony had more emotion than I could have dreamed of, he really was amazing.
I am running out of time and will finish the rest of this! Here is a preview of what else is to come!
