Mushpot & MCDO15 3/13/05 Review @ Giorgio's Now with Links and Pics UPDATE PROOFS(Complete) ON PAGE 2 As of 4/29
This will be a long process as many events occurred to make our dreams come true.So keep checking for updates
I'd like to begin by commenting on our venue change as some of you caught on to. Originally, we had Crest Hollow Country Club. Leo was great to work with but Mushpot and I had a huge disagreement with some things they were and weren't doing. I'm not going to comment any further then that. Because of this difference, we up and moved our location to Giorgio’s 10 days before the wedding and it was probably one of the best things that happen to us.
A note to CHCC brides, you really have nothing to worry about as long as you ask your questions and get solid answers up front. CHCC did treat us good but to make your dreams come true, you have to do what YOU want. Remember that...don't settle
Back to the fun stuff
Remember the contest Mushpot won for the Wedding Day Coordinator (LA PRODCUTIONS) , it has changed our lives forever. Coming soon, we will be on the Style Network on a show called Whose Wedding Is It Anyway. Because of our story and individual efforts made Ron/Liz and Laura, we saw this dream of sharing our love with everybody come true. We taped for 4 days on various things. I wont give it away so you can be surprised when the show airs...
Now, the grades
grades will either be A, B, C , D , F just like grade school back in the day
LIWeddings - A
Without this website, without this family of support, our day would of not turned out the way it did. Thank you Ron and Liz for everything you have done to impact our lives. You may think its no big deal, but to us and i'm sure for many others... your ideas and commitment goes a long way.
LA Productions – A
What can I say about Laura and Jill... jeez, what can’t I say about them. These two people ran around our wedding ensure that everything was 100% done and complete.
Before the wedding with our location move, Laura and Jill were up late, printing menus, printing this. When I left Mushpot at the hotel the night before the wedding, Laura came over and kept her company.... Who does that? Laura is packed with excitement and energy and highly recommend you look her up.
Giorgio’s – A
WOW... that could be the only thing I saw but I’ll write a little bit more. George Sr. and Jr. made our dreams come true. The hall is great, food top notch, service was impeccable. We had 2 Matri’D’s, bridal assistant was great, the view...wow. We had the sun setting behind us as we were saying our vows. What more can you ask for. Despite the hike our east (which isn’t bad) this is worth the trip and your guest will be blown away. Crystal chandler’s everywhere... it was great.
Linda’s Loveslies Invites (Encore) – A
Linda was great in getting our invites to us quick with a great price. She actually made us change our invite in a good way. Our original invite was Britchcraft and required so much work to assemble (bows, velum paper overlay) that she suggested that we look at something else in the same price range. This is when she whipped out the Encore series and we fell in love with them. For the same price as our old one, we got something 100x better. People loved the invites and they were already ready once we got them. Great choice.
Wild Rose Video – A
We haven’t seen anything from the wedding yet but I’m very confident that it will be great. Bill and Marie are great people to do business. Besides business partners, they are great people who care for their brides/grooms. The day of, they were invisible (2 camera men for ceremony) and it appears they captured every single moment of the wedding. I’m looking forward to see the ceremony as I missed so much.
Patken – B*
Everything up till the wedding was great. Engagement shots were more then we ever imagined. I scored them a B because I thought we would be doing more in terms of shots. Steve and Vinny were great to work with. Vinny was doing photojournalistic work while Steve was a main photographer. Steve and Vinny got all the shots of Mushpot getting ready.... I give props to Steve as we were trying to get to the beach and no car was ready for us. Steve ran, got his car to save time because we were trying to capture the sunset. Thanks, I can’t wait to see those shots. Once we get the proofs...I’m sure the “B” will turn into an “A”.
Finer Touch Entertainment – A
Well, my sister used this DJ Company for her wedding almost 2 years ago. After hearing them at theirs, we immediately hired them for ours. They played all the songs we asked for and upgrade us on service giving us a cool light show along with a plasma screen showing cool effects and live video from the wedding reception.
Ultimate Class Limo – A
With our changes to the wedding, we didn’t need the Rolls Royce and an extra limo. Matt was great with getting us out of our contract as it would have been a waste of money. We had no problems with UCL
LA Blossom – A
Laurie and her visions are amazing. Our centerpiece...WOW... we kept getting compliments about the CP during the course of the night. Not even the big noticeable things that Lauire did, it was a bunch of little things she did. She took our Cake Topper and painted the Bo-K the same as her Bo-K for the wedding. BTW, the Bo-K was great. Callas and Mini Callas are great flowers to work with along with our color scheme of mango, yellow, burgundy, red and white. The aisle runner... priceless... I didn’t see it at first cause I was just smiling for the cameras but once I got home and took it out the box, I shed a few tears... It said “And Happily Ever After” then our monogram and our date.
Officiant: Angela Heil – A
Angela customized our ceremony so much that even she was choked up with emotion. Our service from what I hear was the best part and that wouldn’t of happen with Angela.
We included a rose ceremony as our first gifts, a reading, and custom vows. It’s hard to choose an officiate that will marry you but when we met her for the first time, we knew we made a great choice. She was very passionate during the readings.
Ceremony Music - The Capricco Ensemble – A
Wow...what can I say about Natalie and her work. She knew I wanted the best for the ceremony. After starting with a string trio... it evolved into a Flute, Trumpet, Cello group. Then Natalie put herself back into the line up to complete the sound I was looking for. Having a trumpet play Trumpet Voluntary was great. Instruments add to the feeling and the moment of the wedding. They sounded great. She put in a surprise also playing “The Prayer” during the rose ceremony. I had asked her about it but didn’t think it would fit. Very emotional... I can’t wait to hear and see it.
Zarreen Jewelry (Tri-County Flea Market) – A
We had custom rings made but since we don’t know anything about rings, we screwed up the order. The owner said no problem and remade our rings perfectly to what we wanted. And they came back just in time for the wedding. We got matching bands with diamonds.
The Inn @ Eastwind – B
We had the Jr. Suite at Eastwind the night before and the night of the wedding. The reason for the B was price. Without the price, for sure an A. Everything in the room was perfect. I was sadden that they couldn’t do anything with the price or something knowing that we got married but that’s just me.
Rehearsal Dinner: The Coles House – A
If you want a nice, intimate dinner, go to the Coles House in Glen Cove. They have many private rooms to host a great party. The food was excellent and I couldn’t beat the price.
Azoodie's Photocube - A
This was great and the guest loved it. Granted, they didn't know what it was at first.. they caught on.. while droping the envopled, everybody was looking around the cube looking at everything.
Photo Cube Thread
Photo Guest Book - B
After looking back at the photo guest book, it still a great idea but i didn't think my family cared too much for it. I have some comments with pictures or vice versa. I would still do a sign in at the front door or somthing so this way, you have documented who attended your wedding.
Cruise One - A
Dawn is great at what she does. We changed our cruise and she had no problems fixing it. She gave me pretty much the same price of others but a much better room and deck level. Always in commication and did everything she said she would. HM is in San Juan for a few nights then Princess Cruise to St Thomas, St Marteen, etc...
Princess Cruises - A
By far..our best vacation. The boat is freakin huge. dont worry about getting sick as the majority of the time, you dont feel the boat move. so many activites, so much service that i can't explain how great it was in a little paragraph. i highly recommend this cruise in particlar because of the port of calls. Our stops included barbados, st lucia, st thomas, st marteen and antigua.. it was the time of my life and we lost track of days. 7 day cruise seemed like 10 days..
