My 9/27/03 Wedding Review (Pictures Included)

We are finally back and things have calmed down a bit so I finally found some time to write my review. Thank you to everyone who gave advice and helped me throughout this process.

A few days before the wedding the forecast indicated rain so I was a bit bummed but knew it was the one thing I could not control so I tried to put it out of my mind. Well it turns out that was the least of my worries. On Friday I came down with a stomach flu. I thought it would pass but the night before the wedding I was up all night sick as ever. I called DH Saturday morning in absolute tears b/c I was so sick. My family and BM's came to the rescue and filled me up with alka seltzer, amodium, protein shakes and anything else they thought would help. My doctor said there wasn't much I could do. The remedies helped and although I wasn't able to eat or drink at the wedding, I at least didn't throw up during the ceremony.

The Milleridge Cottage A+ - The service, food, atmosphere etc. was all perfect. Leslie made all of our dreams come true. For the other Milleridge brides out there you have nothing to worry about. Everyone loved the food and raved about the service. Steve our matr'd went above and beyond. The room looked beautiful and since the rain held up everyone was able to go outside for the cocktail hour.

Coachman Limousine - A+ Claudia was an absolute gem to work with. She kept in contact with me throughout the process and didn't think I was crazy with all of my requests. The cars were clean and on time and the drivers were so much fun.

Mark Kauffman Photography - A+ - I can't say enough about Roy and Pedro. They were the most amazing guys to work with. They kept me calm about being sick, they handled the difficult in-laws so well and they had fun with us. They were so involved with our guests that I got calls telling me how wonderful they were. The proofs are outstanding and I can't wait for MV1003's wedding tomorrow so I can see Roy again.

Wild Rose Video - A+ - Marie as everyone knows, is a doll to work with. Her arm was still hurting a bit but she and Dave did an amazing job. I can't wait to see the video. I don't think there was a single thing Dave or Marie missed. Everytime I looked around to see if they caught something, they always did. I know the final product will be a work of art.

Spin Around Sound - A+ - Tom and I didn't get to talk until the day before the wedding so I was a bit nervous but Rio and Tom (not the owner) did an amazing job. The dance floor was packed all night and everyone loved the music. My play list had several different types of music and they did a fantastic job mixing it all together.

I'm so excited because I'm getting married at the Milleridge Cottage in 49 days!!! Woo Hoo!!!

P.S. Your flowers are gorgeous! Are they Milleridge Florist flowers?

Franksbride - Yes, I did use the Milleridge flroist. I will have it in the rest of my review. Chris is wonderful to work with and they did such an amzing job with the flowers. Frank (DH) and Chris hit is off and talked to eachother more during the process then I did with Chris.

Milleridge Florist - A+ - Chris was so great to work with. I called him a few times b/c like all brides, I would see something I liked and would call him to say I think i want to change my flower choices. He always talked me down from the ledge and my flowers turned out wonderful. He and DH hit if off so well. Chris was outside the Milleridge when we arrived and you would have thought he was a member of our family b/c we were so excited to see him!!

Jillian of Gorgeous Faces - A+ - She is a total sweetheart. I just loved her. She arrived early and hung out with us like one of the girls. She is so upbeat and fun and her work is amazing. She made me look wonderful in spite of being sick. My grandma liked her so much she was trying to fix her up with one of the photographers. lol

Bumble & Bumble - Sophia - A+ - Since I was sick I was unable to go to the shop so my mom went on her own and I was going to have our family friend who was doing the BM's hair, do mine as well. I was totally bummed b/c I loved what Sophia had done at my trial. My mom called after she had gotten her hair done to say that Sophia was willing to come to the hotel to do my hair. It was so sweet of her and what an amazing job she did. I loved her so much she will be cutting my hair from now on.

Netbride - BM's Dress - Bari Jay - A+ - They arrived in 2 months with no problems. All the girls loved the dresses b/c they really can wear them again and loved that they were so comfortable.

There was not one vendor I was disappointed in. We chose the best and they delivered on everything.

Honeymoon - Radisson - Aruba A+ - We had a wonderful time. The hotel was beautiful. Our room was spacious and our balcony faced the ocean. The weather was perfect, the people were so nice and we didn't want to come home.

Your pictures are fantastic! You were a gorgeous bride!! You looked so incredibly happy - I love it! It sounded like your day and vendors were perfect!! (Sorry that you weren't feeling well.) Congrats, Mrs.!!

Were your girls wearing navy blue or black? If it was navy blue, what type/color flowers did they carry? It looks great in the first picture! (We choose navy blue for our color, and I'm trying to figure out what color flowers will work best.) Thank you!
