I cannot believe it is OVER! The day was absolutely amazing. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Review on an A+-F scale More Non-pro pics in Album!

Weather A-
It didn’t rain, but it was DAMN hot! Otherwise, the sun was shining and the sky was blue. Word to the wise, do not listen to the Farmer’s Almanac, they said there was suppose to be a Tropical Cyclone on my wedding day…there was no such thing in sight, thank GOD~

STDVistaPrint.com- C
The product was exactly what I asked for, but what I didn’t ask for was to have to change my credit card because Vistaprint was charging all these hidden fees to my card for months! In my opinion, don’t risk it and go with magnetqueen.com I wish I would have.


Invitations- Budget Printing, Stony Brook A Mrs. Hanley is a friend of my MIL and she was such a pleasure to work with! My invitations were simple, yet classic. Everything arrived on time. The only thing I was disappointed with was my inner envelopes weren’t lined, it was my bad because she asked me if I wanted them lined, but I misunderstood and said no. Oh well, I am probably the only one that noticed.

Rehearsal Dinner- La Familgia, Smithtown A+ OMG they food and service there is out of this world. We had about 35 people and there was enough food to serve a small army. All of the dishes are family style which everybody loved due to the incredible variety. If you don’t have your rehearsal there, at least try it for dinner!

My Dress- Demetrios, Manhattan A+ I was able to actually get my dress directly from the showroom in Manhattan, so I got a 2007 dress in 2006. The woman who work at the showroom are amazing. My dress fit perfectly at the first fitting, the only thing needed to be done was the hem. I was a little hesitant about my dress at first, but all it took was the correct bra to make it look amazing. So my advice, buy two or three bras if you need to and make sure you love the way it makes you look!

Shoes- Craft Shoes, Commack A+ They have a HUGE variety of shoes, go there!!

Bridesmaids/Flower Girl Dresses- The Bridal Suite of Centereach A+
They are really great! I ordered the dresses kind of late and they didn’t get here until 3 weeks before the wedding, not their fault. The people there were awesome, they bumped us ahead of everyone to get all the dresses fitted in time. They even made special arrangements to take care of sister in law who flew in from Greece only 1 week before the wedding, so I really appreciated all their help.

MOB Dress Macy’s Smithaven Mall A+
My mother looked stunning and she raved about how nice the ladies were there. After she took the dress home, she realized it didn’t fit the way she would have liked, it was a little too big around the bust, she took it back and they did not charge her to take it in again, which is very professional.

DOJ- Marie Richards Jewelers Port Jefferson A +
They are AWESOME at Marie Richards. Not only did I get my jewelry there, but they also let my mother borrow jewelry from the store to take to her fitting so she could see what looked best! She ended up doing that twice until she found the perfect match for her dress. They are so nice and accommodating!

Favors- Wrap With Us, Syosset A+
We ordered rulers that said “Love Rules” in addition to our donation favor to
Adoptaclassroom.org We are both in the teaching profession so we thought it would be nice to sponsor a classroom, they use the money to buy classroom supplies. It was money well spent.


Labels- My Own Labels.com A+ I ordered labels for my OOT boxes, they came out wonderful and they delivered them so quick, I highly recommend them.

Hair/Makeup-Kholoud’s A+
Kacey and Rosemarie are amazing! I was originally going to have my hair/makeup done at my regular salon, but after many trials and money spent, I changed my mind…like 3 weeks before the wedding… Kacey and Rosemarie were very professional, and very on time! They are awesome, all the girls hair came out beautiful! And I loved the makeup they did for myself, my mother and sister. Highly Recommended!

Limousines – Long Island Elite-Port Jefferson Station A
The 2nd limo got to my house late, so all the girls ended up going in one…we could have waited, but I really wanted the church to start exactly on time, which it did. Even so, all the drivers were AMAZING, they bent over backwards for us…later I found out the reason the 2nd limo was late to my house is because my DH’s brother was very late getting to his house so it didn’t leave on time…oh well, it all worked out.

St. Patrick’s RC Church, Smithtown A
I have been going to this church since I was 4, I even attended elementary school for 8 years there as well, so it was super special that we get married there. Everything went smoothly until the rehearsal. I don’t remember her name, but one of the women running the rehearsal was so nasty to me because I didn’t bring the marriage license. Not for nothing, I have never been married before, and when my mother called that day to go over the details before we went, nobody told us to bring it. She even had the nerve to say to me “Well, did you at least bring the money?” I was sooooooooooo MAD I had to walk away and was almost in tears. However, since we have been going to that church for over 20 years, the priest came in and said it was no problem to bring the license the morning of the wedding…I just wish people would tell you what you need when you need it, and not be mean to the bride the day before the wedding. But still, I love that church and could never give it anything other then an A.

Chair Covers- The Finishing Touch, Hicksville A+
Very nice and professional. I called a week before the wedding to give my final count and they said I needed to pay the final balance in cash, I flipped, and told them it was not in my contract. After reading it over they realized they changed their policy after I signed my contract and said it was ok that I pay via credit.
I cannot tell you how beautiful the chair covers looked in the room, they really gave it that air of elegance I was looking for. Even the maitre’ de at the Hamlet said she wished more people would get them because it makes the room look stunning!

Reception-Hamlet Wind Watch, Hauppauge A+
What I don’t get is why more brides aren’t having there wedding at the Hamlet in Hauppauge. When you first see it the room is very unassuming, it has tons of windows, which we loved, and one of the reasons we booked. When I walked in there the day of the wedding I couldn’t believe how the place looked, I couldn’t believe it was my wedding, the place looked absolutely amazing, I swear, it took my breath away. And those windows - Our first dance was flooded with the glow of the sunset, almost like it was a spotlight on us. It was my favorite part of the entire night, and the first time I cried the whole day. The service and food were amazing, especially the wedding cake and dessert, people are still talking about it. FYI I gave them a drawing of the cake I wanted, and they made it exactly the way it was in the picture. Denise, the MD was amazing as was my bridal attendant. I can’t say enough good things about the Hamlet. This place is incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Band- Classified A+
This band is out of control amazing, people kept commenting that whole night, and even now, how much fun the band was. They played all the songs we wanted and really felt the vibe of the party. They let the bridesmaids and groomsman sing and play instrument with them, just because they wanted to. Nicole, the lead singer, needs a record contract and Don, the emcee was incredible, he took control of everything! If you don’t have a band yet, you MUST MUST MUST consider them if you are looking to have a good time and party the night away. Also, our wedding song was “Into the Mystic” by Van Morrison, like I said, the first dance was the first time I cried the whole night, not only due to the surrounding, but because the band sang that song so well, I was astounded at how beautiful it sounded, I was blown away!

Florist-With All My Heart, Wading River A+
Linea is great to work with. I went there 2 weeks before the wedding and took out all the orange out of the flowers b/c after seeing the bm dresses I wanted more pink…not a problem. My bk, the girls bk, were amazing. The flowers made the reception hall, period. They were absolutely incredibly beautiful. The colors popped and were so vibrant and fresh, they lasted for days after the wedding, nothing wilted, nothing was out of place, everything was perfect perfect perfect. I HIGHLY Recommend using With All My Heart if you have not booked your florist yet.

Hyatt Wind Watch Hotel-Hauppauge F
Please note that this hotel is NOT affiliated with the Hamlet Wind Watch

If you have any other choice for a hotel, go there. I hate this place, they are liars and only want your money. One reason we booked the Hamlet was because it was right next to the Hyatt hotel. They Hyatt told us their bar was open until 2 am. Low and behold, 3 days before the wedding (and a week after I spoke to my contact there who CONFIRMED the bar was open till 2 am) We call again and they are like, oh no, the bar is only open till 1am. To make a long story short. We rent a room with a private bar tender. We also ordered bar food such as chips and dip, and they said they would throw in votive candles for the tables. The night of the wedding:
1. My MIL had to have someone turn on the air conditioning
2. My guests had to drag in chairs because there wasn’t seating for 50 like we asked.
3. Only Chex Mix on the table, no chips and dip like we paid for.
4. No votive candles.
5. AND- THE BAR WAS STILL OPEN AT 2AM WHEN WE LEFT OUR PRIVATE ROOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are absolutely liars. There was a reunion going on that night and I think they didn’t want to crowd the bar, so they told us it wasn’t open….well then, don’t put our private room next to it like we wouldn’t notice. I was so mad it wasn’t even funny. Then we get a bill for almost $800 when we could’ve paid NOTHING by just having our guests go to the already open bar. We are in a dispute with them now, those jerks.




Honeymoon- Sandals Grand Antigua, A-
Antigua is beautiful and the people there are super nice. I am giving them an A- because the first night we were there we were so upset about our room. It was dirty, the air conditioning didn’t work, and we had a view of the construction at the Mediterranean section. So we spent the first day there on the phone with a repair man in our room. We had to sleep with no air the first night which was horrible. The next morning we were ready for a fight, so we march down to the concierge, and they already had our room change. Our new room was beautiful! Advice, it is ok to stay in the Caribbean Village, I actually prefer it to the new section because it is secluded, just simply ask for a renovated room, they are wonderful. The food and service was great! The new section is almost finished, we hung out at the new pool most of the time and it is awesome.

went through the whole comstruction thing in the new section....the air worked tho...and they upgraded us from the monte carlo to the penthouse.............this was for our va-k in antigua last month.

omg lovely review...just beautiful...you look so beautiful and it must be so sentimental that you went to school at st pats and to get married at your parish must be great.

let me tell you i got married at st pats and forgot the marriage license too...they said it was fine to bring the next morning

but they also were rude and they were like where is the money?

and on the day of..they asked my hubby for the tip for the altar boys...geez...its like they expect these things and demand these things...

and the night of the rehearsal..they scheduled 3 of them all in the same night...so we had a dinner that night and we ended up getting the last practice since we had a larger bridal party and were late 30 minutes at our rehearsal dinner....my in laws paid for 4 hours at the hamlet windwatch and were so pissed that we were so late...

very nice. I did check out the Hamlet in Hauppauge which was very nice but I felt the place I picked I got more for my money.

But I did really like the place.
