My August 6th Flowerfield Review With Pix - edited to add Tuxs and Steel Drum band

I just want to thank everyone on this board - I got lots of great ideas and advice from you all.

My wedding day was absolutely the best. To those who are about to get married - Enjoy every minute and every detail of your day. It is the best time of your life.

Flowerfield - 10+++
I worked with Caroline at Flowerfield. She was always so easy to work with and very accomodating with everything. FF set up the bridal cottage for us since the other bride was still on the premises when we got there. The cottage was stocked with food and alcohol and was constantly being replenished. Joette was such an amazing bridal attendant. My bustle kept coming undone because everyone who was dancing would step on it - she actually sewed me up a few times. Andy was also very attentive to anything that we needed. They were by our sides the entire night and took care of everything. Most of my guests had not been to Flowerfield before and everyone was raving about it. From the service to the food and the ambience - it was amazing. I could not have picked a better place.

After Hours Tuxedos - 5
My husband works out so he had pretty big arms - the day before the wedding he went to pick up his tux and they said they should have ordered him a Sport Tux because the one we got didn't fit him right. No one mentioned anything to us about him needing a sport tux when he got measured and he was the same exact size. They ended up ordering him a different size jacket. It was a little snug but ok. Also, I didn't know that the tuxes needed to be returned the NEXT day or else you get charged a $10 fee. To me that is completely ridiculous. People should not have to run back to the mall the next day. It is an inconvenience for the groom and all of the groomsmen. I would recommend going somewhere else!!
Audrey's Bakery - 10
I really liked my cake - I am not crazy about the color pink that they made the bows - but it didn't bother me that night - I just don't love the color in the pictures.

Paris - Soundcheck Entertainment - 10+++
I will attach pictures to show you how amazing Paris was. The dancefloor was packed from the minute we got announced it. Everyone was saying it was the best band they ever heard. They also thought Paris popped in a CD every now and then because they couldn't believe that they were actually singing. They were unbelievable. I requested to have 'Your love is my love' as my last song - Paris must have forgotten and played another song to end the night. One of my bridesmaids reminded them about how I wanted to end it - and they got back on and sang the song. I don't even remember them taking a single break except for dinner.

Steel Sensations - 10
I completely forgot to include them in my review and didn't remember until I saw the raw footage of my video last night. Flowerfields recommends Steel Senstaions. I didn't decide until a month before that I wanted a steel drum band to play during my cocktail hour. I called them up - priced a few different bands and they were very reasonable. Ian was very easy to work with - he didn't need a deposit - we just had to pay him that night. They really set the tone for the night - they were great - it had a real caribbean feel and looked great in the atrium. I would higly recommend using a Steel drum band for cocktail hour and Steel Senstations were really a good choice.

Flowers by Brian - 9
My bouquet was amazing. I loved it. I loved my centerpieces also - however - I did notice as they were setting up the centerpieces and I was walking past the ballroom - that they forgot to include floating Orchids in the center of the vase. We reminded them - they did not have the Orchids but put another flower in that looked just as good. My bridesmaids bouquets were nice - they didn't blow me away though.

Bridal Reflections - Gown and BM dresses - 9
I loved how both came back. You have to have patience when dealing with Bridal Reflections because they are always so crazed.

Duet - 9
I don't have my proofs back yet so I can't fully rate it. Duet was very nice to work with - they were like the paparazzi - everywhere I turned they were there taking a picture. I loved my engagement pictures that they took so I can't wait for my proofs.

Wild Rose - 10
Again - I don't have the final product yet but I should be receiving the raw footage this week. I'll write more when I get the edited version. Bill and Marie were very nice to work with so far.

Royalty Limos - 6
The limos that were sent for my bridal party had no air conditioning in them. Thank goodness it wasn't that hot out because it would have been even worse then it was. I asked them at the church to see if they could get us new limos - I didn't care what they sent as long as it had air conditioning. They sent the same ones back. We also ordered two shuttles from them to take guests from the hotel to FF (and back again) - the shuttles broke down and they ended up sending limos. Some of the guests missed half of the cocktail hour becuase of this. Royalty did send a limo to pick us up after our honeymoon to make up for everything. Honestly - the limo problems were the worst thing that happened that day - and it wasn't even a big deal because everything worked out in the end.

Krispy Kreme - Melville - 5
All I have to say about this is that I went to Krispy Kreme about a month before the wedding - paid them - told them where the donuts were to be delivered and what time. The DAY OF MY WEDDING - I was in the limo going out to FF - there is a message on my cell phone from Krispy Kreme asking me directions to FF. GO ON MAPQUEST. PLEASE do not call me the day of my wedding asking me for directions.

Paula - You're Invited To Celebrate - 10+++
I worked with Paula from the time I got engaged all the way through my wedding. I got my save the date magnets from her, everything for my shower, my invitations, my favors, rose cones, jordan almond confettis, wedding programs. She was amazing. She gave great suggestions for everything. It was all done in a timely manner and everything looked perfect. I couldn't have been happier. She made my life soooooo much easier because she took care of all the little details that can really be stressful.

Sabrina - Hair Expo in Oceanside 10++++
Sabrina has been doing my makeup for years. It came out great in all of the pictures. She really knows how to make your eyes pop - and the makeup stays on all night long.

Denise Venti - 10+++
I have also been going to Denise for years. We ended up doing a different style then we did at my trial. My hair came out great. It looked very natural.

Honeymoon - Hawaii - Hyatt in Maui and Kauai - 12+
We stayed at the Hyatt on both islands. Loved them both. I def. suggest Hawaii for your honeymoon - it is paradise.

My wedding day honestly exceeded all of my expectations. I had the most amazing time ever.

Thanks to you all!!! It was seriosuly the best day of my life. Enjoy every second of it - and take every little detail in. Remember to take snapshots in your mind. I was constantly doing that all day long. I wanted to remember EVERYTHING about everyone. I am so happy with all of my vendor selections -everything was truly unbelievable.

Here are some more pics. I had 11 girls in my bridal party, 2 flowergirls, and 8 groomsmen. It was def. a big party - but that made it even more fun. My bridal party was AMAZING throughout my entire engagement/wedding planning process. It makes such a difference when you have such unbelievable support by your side.
