My June 26th Meadow Club wedding!

WOW, where to begin! Well my wedding was 100 times more wonderful than I had ever imagined! My DH and I were not the blushing couple leading up to the day. Honestly he hated the planning process and I wasnt too thrilled about it either but the day was so perfect that we both wish we could do it all over again!

First every day has its own type of 'drama' so heres mine....the night before the wedding I got in bed around 1:30am and was ready to crash when i got this sudden urge to just make sure I had all my essentials for the following day, well I couldnt find my headpiece! My mom and I tore apart the house to no avail! So we figured that maybe it got moved to my new home but it was too late to go there so we figured I would wake up early go check and if I couldnt find it then I would go get a new headpeice for Fantasyland! Well I get up go to my new house with my dad, tear it apart and no headpeice....yeah you guessed it, it was at my parent house in my bedroom the whole time!!! I was just too insane to figure it out! but at least I remembered before we bought a new one!
So this would be enough drama but no.....one of my BMs got violently sick the morning of the wedding and was throwing up until about 10:30. Thank God for my make up woman who did her hair after she missed her appt at the salon! (my BM turned out fine)

Anyway now my day!

Lillettes (baldwin)- was wonderful! My dress was simply amazing and the alterations were perfect! I felt as if my dress was MADE for me! It held me in and I never felt uncomfortable and I never tugged up the top of my strapless dress. My ONLY complaint, they didnt give me a garment bag, but rather I picked up my dress in just a plastic bag, its no big deall but I found it odd!

Our Lady of Grace Church (West Babylon) & Father Tom - wonderful! Father Tom delivered such a nice service! Everyone was commenting on how he knew so much about us and it really was very personal! I love this man and was so honored to have him perform our ceremony.

Flowers Galore (Wyndanch) - I used them b/c my mom had dealt with them many times before and honestly I was planned out by the time I got to florists and just didnt want to deal with it! The store is a little tiny hole in the wall but you MUST look past that. My flowers were out of the world! I gave her little direct except that I wanted colorful and bright to offset my deep purple BM dresses! The bo'ks were exactly what I had dreamed of but could never explain - they were stunning! My bo'k was beautiful too! My centerpieces were AWESOME! They were rings of flowers with 3 pillar candles in the middle. She also put little lights (like individual blue christmas lights) in the centerpeices so they would 'glow' it looked great! People were fighting over the centerpieces and I was told that the flowers lasted pretty well until July 6th or 7th!

Absolute Entertainment (Sayville)- They were literally the life of the party. Everyone was commenting on how GREAT they were! For the Cocktail hour we had Nick (I think thats his name) on Keyboard. He sounded great and played a variety of classical as well as some elton john/billy joel type songs! Our DJ/MC combo was Jeff and Alex. They were amazing! Some of our guests were complimenting me on my song choices, but the ONLY song choices we made were the dances! We left everything else up to AE and they did a wonderful job! If I had an event in the future and needed a DJ I wouldnt look anywhere else! THey were professional and fun and kept people dancing!

VIP Studios (Port Jefferson)- I had heard some mixed reviews about them on here but they were the only photographer out of the 5 or 6 we saw that both my DH and I agreed on. Our photographers for the day were Audry and Maria (John also came to the hall to take pics). I cant say enough about them! They were wonderful to work with! I had such a great time and they did everything we asked of them. Also at the reception although I had 3 photographers there, I didnt even notice and neither did most of my guests! They would pop in take a cute pic and pop out! They were totally not in your face which was what we wanted! I havent seen my proofs yet so I will add more on them when I get them!

Make up by Lisa - This was a family friend who does professional make up on the side! She was wonderful to work with! As I said earlier she even did my BM hair! Her prices were reasonable and she came to us (she was at my house before ANYONE)

North Country Limo (Lake Grove) I cant complain about the service. THey were prompt and clean and 2 out of 3 of the limo drivers were really nice all around. However, one limo showed up an hour before they were supposed to and now we have an outstanding bill, but I havent had a chance to call them to see if we can clear this up....And one limo driver (0bvioiusly the 'leader' of the group) did not handle the 'timing' issue with much professionalism.

Classic Transportation (Bohemia) We used them for our hotel shuttle and they were prompt, the driver was nice and the van was clean. They were also very reasonably priced IMO.

THE MEADOW CLUB (Port Jefferson)
This was by far the BEST decision we made! We went to 6 places and this place just stuck out from the rest! It really felt like 'US' and I couldnt be happier with my decision. The food was amazing, the service was spectacular. They can hold up to 3 event there a night, but I felt like the only one! Our Maitre'D was attentive and really kept our wedding moving along with ease! The Bridal Attendent Veronica was AMAZING! I never went with out a drink, or anything! She got me food, drink, friends who I couldnt find, anything! She was a Godsend!!!! From the moment we first saw the MC in August unitl my wedding day, every person we came in contact with was so sweet! One of the bartenders, Chris, was so nice every time he saw me go to leave the reception room for something, he would open the door. The only thing I can find to give future brides advice about, if you have the vienesse hour in the Terrace room, the put the deserts in the cocktail room. Just so you know they will break it up in to two sections however they are not simply duplicates of each other. Each table arrangement has different foods! Some of my guests didnt realize this at first.
Overall, you have NOTHING to worry about with the Meadow Club. I got so many compliments that night about the hall. People asking how I foudn the place and saying it was simply the best wedding they had ever been too!

Overall my wedding day was better than I ever dreamed it to be!!!!

My advice to future brides, really take a moment to step back and enjoy your day. It goes way too fast! Everyone said that to me and I kept thinking 'come on how fast can it go' but really my 5 hour reception felt like an hour and a half! I felt like one minute I was being introduced and the next I was saying good night!

And dont worry about every little detail of the day because honestly if you do you will miss everything! You only get one wedding day so just make sure you and your DH have fun and dont worry about the rest! We felt bad that we didnt get to sit and talk with everyone, both our moms said 'all that matters is that you two looked soo happy that day' thats all anyone wants for your wedding day!

Okay well first let me say I got my proofs last week and there are 960!!!! I dont evne know where to begin! We are still moving into our new home and our computre is not hooked up but hopefully next week I can scan some!

Either way VIP Studios did a wonderful job! I love our pictures! There were some I wanted that werent taken but I blame myself as much as the photograhers because really there is only one photo I specifically told them I watned that they didnt get! The rest I never told them! And really its okay because I have so many to choose from there is not shortage even without these photos! I love looking at them!
