My March 14th Wedding review - Watermill, ProLine, FM Entertainment, Helen's, Burtons
I found the reviews on this site very helpful when I needed a starting point for vendor search, so I figured I would pay it forward.
My wedding day was wonderful. Nothing went wrong, I had good weather, everything was on time, and I can honestly sit here and say I 100% enjoyed my entire day. People keep laughing at me and saying, 'I've never seen a bride have so much fun at her own wedding'
I'm not good at writing long pieces, so here's the gist, feel free to FM if you want to know anything additional
Church - St. Raphael's in East Meadow - this is my church since childhood. They were wonderful to work with and I am not ashamed to admit that we actually really enjoyed the pre cana program. Strange, since I don't consider us to be that religious, but anyway..
Flowers - Burtons - My flowers were absolutely beautiful and they arrived early! My centerpieces were outstanding and John at Burtons was wonderful to work with. The price was good, the flowers were all open and fresh, and I couldn't have been happier. I gave them something to attach to my bo-k, and it was done perfectly. Go to Burtons!
Dress - Helen's in Commack - My dress was the first one I tried on and wasn't something I picked for myself. I tried on a bunch of other ones, but I just knew it was for me. Liz helped me look, and I hugged her the day I ordered it, she made dress shopping so easy. My dress needed some major alterations up top and again, Helen's was great. Toula was my seamstress and she was amazing. Honest, friendly, and available for whatever I wanted/needed. I would highly recommend them. The place doesn't look like much, but those ladies know what they are doing.
Pictures - ProLine - I loved their salesman and I cannot say enough nice things about my photographer, John. He was warm and funny, and dealt with our enormous families like a champ. My timing was tight the day of, and John had me at my cocktail hour 20 minutes after it started. I stressed how important it was to me, and he was wonderful. I picked up my proofs after my honeymoon and he absolutely captured my day start to finish. Request him ladies, he put my nerves at ease the second he walked into my mom's house. I also did video through ProLine and had George. Again, a super nice guy that had me so relaxed that the whole beginning of my video is me laughing, smiling, joking. It's wonderful to watch myself so happy. I was so stressed about photography, and I am completely pleased with ProLine.
DJ - FM Entertainment - Frank was my dj and I loved him! I requested some songs that I really wanted, that were a little out of the ordinary, and he found every one and played them at the appropriate times. Every one had a blast on that dance floor. I credit that all to FM Entertainment. I am an older bride, have been to 100s of weddings, and music really does make or break your party. FM was on time, professional and most of all, FUN! There was no cheese to it, they are in tune with what you want and what your crowd wants. Book FM Entertainment and ask for Frank!
Watermill - They did everything I asked and couldn't have been nicer throughout the planning. I was a very hands off bride, and to be honest, they know what they're doing. Food was great, room was beautiful, waitstaff and bartender were fantastic too. My guests still rave about how beautiful it was and how delicious everything was. My attendant was sweet and attentive and I thoroughly loved my Maitre D - Keith. His favorite phrase is 'You're the bride, you can have or do whatever you want!' I couldn't argue with that

So, those are the highlights, everyone gets an A+++!! Good luck to everyone and I hope you all have wonderful wedding days!!
