My May 12, 2006 review Stewart Manor Country Club

My Wedding Day:

Weather: B+
It started out as a D- but right before were ready to leave the house it slowed up and eventually stopped.

Hair/Makeup: A+
Jackie from I Makeup You was flawless Carmela from Happily Ever After was wonderful. We all looked fantastic. I 100% recommend them.

Veil/Tiarra: A+
Barrons of the Tri County Flea Market. They were a little pricey but worth it. I loved my veil and tiarra so much I never took them off

My gown/BM's gowns: A+, but the salon: C
I absolutely adore my gown and still do and the BMs gowns were very pretty and they all looked great in them. The place however, another story. Carmela's Bridal Garden in Huntington Station was not grand. the very first time i went there they were great but after that not so great. my maid of honor got into a couple of spiffs with them over the alterations. cause she lost so much weight (baby weight) they were complaining that they had to keep fixing it. HELLO, THATS WHAT WE ARE PAYING U FOR!!! they were not very personable and every time i went there for a fitting i felt like i was an incovinience to them for being there. Nice gowns, but service stunk.

Undergarments: A+
Went to georgettes in hicksville. fantastic, very helpful

jewelry: A+

Queens Bridal Center of Mineola. Joey G was stupendous. the second he walked into my parents house we clicked. he was so nice and never pushy with the shots. at the reception, you never new he was there. the same with the videographer (sorry i forgot his name). very laid back and again you wouldn't know he was there. i can't wait to see proofs.

limos: B+
Royalty was ok. i was expecting a lot better from such a well known vendor from here. the limos were clean and all, but i saw rips on the inside and the driver of the bridal party was a bit rude in the way he told them to keep the limo clean cause he had a prom to go to in 20 minutes. WHAT!!! OH I'M SORRY, A PROM IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN A WEDDING

. They were early which was good and they got us to the church on time.

church: A+
Cure of Ars in Merrick.

flowers: A
Merrick Flower Shoppe. all the flowers were beautiful. were almost exact to what i wanted.

Merrick FD: A++++++++++++
we did a water arch and walked through the poles and axes. it was so pretty. thank you guys so much for doing that for your chief. i also have to thank north merrick and bellmore for there trucks as well.

SMCC: A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I cant say enough. James and June were absoltuely amazin. always there but not in the way. no one was ever with out a beer or drink. food was delish and everything went smoothly. my only complaint was the bartendar. he didn't follow our instructions with certain liquors and didn't get the shots right. first time i asked for a so co and lime i got soco in a rocks glass with a piece of lime. the second time i asked for a soco and lime juice. got in a rox glass again with lime juice. he was a lil clueless, but this was such a minimal thing i'm not upset about it, but i wanted to write it for any other SMCC brides so you can make sure the bartender does what you ask.

SMCC IS THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN NASSAU COUNTY

DJ: A++++++
In the Mix DJ was incredible. people were on the floor all night long. Donnie was da bomb. couldn't ask for more. Totally recommend them in a heart beat.

Our honeymoon: B+
Golden Crown Paradise Spa in Cancun. Cancun was great, but the hotel wasn't. We weren't in the system as honeymooners and we almost got a room with two double beds

. hhhhmmm honeymooners. yes we went double beds. when we finally got our room 2 hours later and a king size bed we had no champagne and fruit. i complained the next day and we got it, but it wasn't the same. the food was ok, there snack bar was actually the best food. as for the bars. the tiki bar was the best. jose was the best bartender. all n all it was a great trip, but if we were to go to cancun again we are going to look into another resort.

In conclusion, everything went better than I could have ever imagined. all the planning, stressing out, headaches and becoming broke for a while was all worth it. the only thing i would do again is walking down the aisle cause i didn't smile cause i was so nervous and reception cause i just wanna party again

I also have to thank all the ladies of www.liweddings.com, without your help and advice my day wouldn't be as perfect as it was.

Love the review. I am considering using Jackie from I Make Up You and after seeing your pictures and knowing how my trail came out I think I definitely will.
