My VERY VERY late 11/10/07 Greek Wedding Review: Right Angle Studios, Camelot Limos.Floral Terrace and more…with lots of pro pics

So I know this is a super late review, considering I got married over a year ago, but since my vendors are all still active and doing well I figured better later than never. I apologize to you girls but there has been so much going on in my life since my wedding that its been hard to find time to sit down and do this. Today is a slow day at work so I figured why not?!

Mother Nature: A
When I woke up in the AM it was gross and rainy, but by the time it was ready for me to start taking pics and eventually leave for church it was freezing ( 34*) but the sun was shining and the grounds were pretty much dry :o)

St Nicholas Church: B
Everything was beautiful but my ceremony was supposed to start at 4pm and it started at 5. I can’t say that it was the churches fault, but it happened so whatever….



Make up by Vanessa: Make up A
She is not a vendor on LIW but she was great. She has done my make up several times and she did exactly what I asked her to do. It was airbrush so it lasted practically all night. My wedding reception lasted for about 7 ½ hours but when I got home I still looks like I was picture ready!


Astoria Florist: A+
All my flowers were great. They were fresh and exactly how I requested them. My MIL even surprised us with a 6’ white fresh floral arch to sit behind the dais table and every single flower on this 6ft arch was white and bloomed.
Tina really did right by us and she was very affordable.



Hair: The Rock sisters: A-
Sarah Rock did my hair and it came out pretty good... it held up all night but I think my trail was better than the actual day of my wedding. My part was not at dramatic as I wanted it but overall my hair was pretty and it lasted all night.


Invites: Princessweddinginvitations.com: B-
The invites were great but he service and communication of the website was super slow. I got the invites in the time promised but anytime I had a question I had to wait 3 days for an answer.



Gown: Demetrios Macy’s Bridal A+
My dress was awesome and the sales people there were very easy going. I went there knowing what I wanted and they suggested other stiles as well but they were not pushy. I don’t like pushy, it’s such a turn off.



Camelot Limos: A++
They practically saved the day. They handled the fact that my wedding was delayed an hour like pros. They kept everyone in order and very calm and managed to have excellent communication with each other so that I (the bride) can show up that exactly the right time without waiting around. Not to mention their promptness. They were on time the cars were spotless and the drivers were so nice! They definitely get great recommendations from me when asked about my limo co.


Floral Terrace: A+++
They were great!!! Everything was awesome; the service the food, the treatment, the cake, the décor... all of it was perfect. I do not even the slightest regret for having my reception there. Frank and Arianthi were so much help and always eager to help make thing easier. I def recommend having a venue there and who know… I might have a child’s baptism there when the time comes.



Band/DJ: Golden Greeks: A++
Any Greek wedding needs an awe-inspiring Greek band and we had one. They played till sun up and kept everyone dancing!!! Geroge Rabos, the leader of the band, was great to work with def knows his beats.

Right Angle Studios: Photo & Video: A++++++++ ( is there a higher gade than A+?)
Last but not least…
Words are not enough to describe how outstanding this vendor was/is. George Speirs (our photographer) was made to photograph weddings. He is awesome and he really captures “the glow” of the couple (at least he did for me and my DH)
What I really LOVE is that he took his time to get to know us as a couple before the wedding so it almost made me feel like he knows what to look for in our pics. He def knows his stuff. And he knows how to get u comfortable in front of a camera…posing for George was fun and def didn’t feel like work.
We got our proofs and thank you cards right away which was awesome cuz my mom who is from out of town, got to take some pics home with her before leaving to go back home ;o)
My DH and I also did a day after (anniversary) shoot with George since we didn’t get any pics outside the day of the wedding since it was too dark by the time we got out of church. We went to the CW Post campus and got some awesome shots. I don’t have those pics yet but when I get them I’ll add them in so you can see what fine work this man does.

My video cam out AMAZING!!! It was like a movie and if I didn’t know that it was my wedding I would have thought that I was watching a movie about a wedding. Everyone who watched it loved it.
I could not have been happier with our choice for Photo & video.




Honeymoon: Sandals Antigua C
We had a blast on our Honeymoon. Antigua is a beautiful island BUT I will never book at another Sandals resort again. The resort was pretty but WAAAY to commercial and def didn’t meet the standards that it advertises. 1st of all half of the resort was under construction and we were not notified about it before hand. It was overrated and didn’t compare in the least to other all inclusive resorts hat I have been to. We live and learn!!
