OVERALL
The day was perfect and exactly how it was meant to be...intimate, enjoyable and with the perfect man for me. Rain was predicted for the day but the weather gods were smiling down at us and held off the rain until much later that night.



TWELFTH NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY
Mike was absolutely phenomenal and wonderful to work with. We had not met him until that day but I wasn't worried because I had read great reviews about his work. Because it was only us for the day, we had only paid for 1 photographer. But unbeknownst to us, Dom added a 2nd photographer, Matt, who was learning the ropes and took some of the photojournalistic shots. They went above and beyond for us and took about 900 proofs to boot.

The DVD's took our breaths away when we reviewed at the studio...and then again, when we watched it at home. There are not enough words in the dictionary to discribe how grateful we are to Mike, Matt and Twelfth Night for capturing our day perfectly...so that we can share it with our family. They are the BEST vendor I could ever recommend to anyone.



MIA from *************
She made me look how I felt...happy and beautiful. I had a great experience with her. She listened to what I was looking for and adapted well when I changed my mind a couple of times. I used her a 2nd time for our party 10 days later and she adapted the look to work for indoors. She was worth every penny for hair and make-up and not to mention the sweetest person. I highly recommend her.



GURNEY'S (for the ceremony) & THE SEA GRILLE (for dinner)
John was our coordinator and did a wonderful job. He decorated the ceremony area exactly how I wanted it and even added a few touches that worked really well. He was very accommodating as if we had a party of 200 eventhough we were only a party of 2. Dinner was excellent and the service was impeccable. We were allowed to use their spa services eventhough we were not staying there which we thought was great. They too went above and beyond for us. I highly recommend them.



LENHART'S MOTEL & COTTAGES
My DH's great uncle's place. They gave us a great price. It had a cozy decor and was only a stones throw away from the beach and down the street from Gurney's.



THE MONTAUK POINT LIGHTHOUSE
As soon as we decided on Gurney's, we knew that we wanted pictures at the lighthouse. They were very nice and accomodating. No permit was needed, just the parking fee & admission per person onto the property was what they required.



HON. JAMES KETCHAM
Instead of having an officiant travel so far out east for a 20 minute ceremony, we decided that the officiant should be local. So we took the recommendation of the Lighthouse for retired Judge Ketcham. He was funny, witty and the cutest man ever...he was the best deal out of all the vendors.



VERA WANG (dress & flutes)
I've read bad reviews of her dresses falling apart and not lasting through the day. But I'm here to dispel those reviews. I knew from the very beginning that I didn't want a 'wedding' dress and I especially didn't want to wear white because we have been together up to this point for nearly 11 years. So I scoured through many magazines and websites for the perfect dress. My dream dress was a Vera Wang and I thought why not check her bridesmaid dresses...the rest was history. The dress was wonderful and never did it once or ever fall apart. I was fotunate to wear the dress twice...once for our day and then again for our party.



Just to mention, he wore Ralph Lauren and J. Crew which he chose and loved. I loved it on him...he was very handsome.



ZAPPOS & EBAY
I got my shoes for Zappos.com and they were perfect. Not only were the comfortable but they had light blue soles which became my 'something blue' along with my garter.

From Ebay, I bought my bracelet, the pink rose brooch and the vintage cake topper. Each buy, I got for a great deal and each added that special touch for our day.



MADDALONI JEWELERS & TIFFANY & CO.
I had been a big fan of Brad Pitt for a long time and I was impressed with the ring he designed for Jennifer Aniston. I knew this was the ring for me...it was simple and unique which describes me to a tee. Other than the Damiani boutique in the city, there were 2 places that carried that ring - a place in Brooklyn and Maddaloni's. I went to both and immediately got a great feeling from Maddaloni, so I chose them. Not only did they give me a great price for the ring, they threw in the engraving for free and had my ring ready within a week. I highly recommend them.

My DH's ring came from Tiffany's. They were the first place we checked out when we started our ring hunt. He knew he also wanted something simple and also platinum...that's why we don't have matching rings. The Damiani ring was too thin for his taste and was made of white gold. So we went with them.



SUGAR SWEET SUNSHINE
Located in the lower east side of Manhattan, I found them during my search for the perfect cupcake. Again, I knew from the very beginning that I wanted a cupcake cake for us. And after 6 bakeries, we went to them and immediately knew they had the best to our tastes. They have the greatest lemon cupcakes ever! They were exactly how I wanted them...and for the best price of their size anywhere in NYC.



ARUBA
If you ever have a chance to go, I highly reccommend it. We stayed at the Divi Aruba Phoenix at my parents timeshare as a gift to us. We had a great time for the week we spent there. It had great scenery, friendly people, a relaxed atmosphere and absolutely beautiful weather. We couldn't have asked for a better honeymoon...we had a wonderful time.

MAID TO ORDER (in Brooklyn)
They had quick service and great choices. Again, other than the Vera Wang boutique, they were the only ones who didn't inflate the suggested selling price. The only thing I didn't like was when I went in for my 2 fittings, they were over booked and were short on dressing rooms. So I had a little of a wait and I felt more like a # rather than an individual. But other than that, I recommend them.

CAROL ANN (for bouquet & bout)
We were originally going to have a medium sized wedding and we found her at a bridal show. We made an appoinment and met with her...and immediately liked her, so we booked her. Unfortunately, things happen and we decided to go on with our wedding with just us. So we kept her to do our personal flowers. She did great work and the flowers lasted for 3 weeks. The only thing that irked me a little bit was that she was difficult at times to get in touch with. But in the end, it all worked out.



SUMMARY
In conclusion, I did not specifically grade the vendors because in the end everything was perfect. We had done so much research before booking or using any of the vendors anyway. We did not have any problems with any of them and had a wonderful experience with all of them. I would recommend all of them in a heart beat.



MY ADVICE:
Even if things go less than perfect for the wedding day - don't sweat the small stuff, don't be too proud to ask for help, remember to eat something and take a step back & enjoy as many moments as you can alone...besides it's not the end of the world if something goes wrong, it's the marriage that counts.
