Our June 30, 2007 WEDDING! Jericho Terrace, Jacqueline Nicole, Mya, 12th Night, Royalty, and more! *** UPDATED FINALLY WITH SOME PRO PICS!!! ***
Okay, so like many brides I too will start my review by stating our wedding was by far the BEST day of our lives! Nothing beats marrying your best friend. I only have non-professional pictures, but will post professional ones later on.Mother Nature: A++++++++++
It couldn’t have been more perfect of a day! The sky was crisp blue with the big, bright sun shining down on us!
Inn at Fox Hollow (LIW): B
The Inn itself is lovely. I stayed there the night before with my 2 MOH’s and within the first hour the toilet had to be fixed. That is not why they received the grade they did though. The night of our wedding, we had prepaid for a wedding night package, which consisted of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, and my favorite part, scattered rose petals all over the bed. I told DH to have his camera out so we could take a picture of the room, but when we walked into the room, there was NOTHING! I called the front desk and they apologized for “forgetting” to do it and they refunded us for the package, and said it was “too late” for them to bring up the items. What a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! The only person I dealt with at the hotel who was a pleasure to deal with was James at the front desk.
Lillette’s Bridal: A+ (for Christina in Sales) A (fitting department)
I had no particular problems with my experiences there, but I know some of my bridesmaids had issues with the fitting department, which is why they didn’t get the A+.
Demetrios Gown: A++++++++++
I loved my gown! So many people complimented me on my gown and how elegant and different it was. My gown is still hanging in my closet in my parent’s house just so I can stop by and gaze at it. I was so sad when I had to take it off, but I knew I could not wear it forever.
Bill Levkoff: A+
My BM’s looked awesome! This is a great designer who makes comfortable dresses and I could not have been more pleased.
Dante Tuxedos: A-
The guys all looked great in their tuxedos, but unfortunately I heard some of the groomsmen had unpleasant experiences dealing with one of the men who takes the measurements there, which is why they got an A-.
Mya – Cosmetic Artistry (LIW): A+
All of my girls’ hair and my hair as well, looked amazing and I could not have happier. Mya is another talented, sweet vendor, and it was a pleasure to work with her. She showed up on time and got right to work. She practically flew through the girl’s hair, but in a good way of course. The only thing is that I had wanted a “puff” in the front and it got weighed down throughout the day, maybe because of the veil and tiara (which was slightly crooked) pulling down on, but either way, I would have liked it to stay.
Jacqueline Nicole (LIW): A++++++++++
I love, love, love Jackie!!! She is by far my FAVORITE VENDOR! She is an absolute pleasure to work with. She showed up on time, worked consistently on all the girls, who all looked amazing, and then spent the last 45 minutes or so doing my makeup. She never rushed and touched up all of our makeup one last time before she left. She even gave me the lipstick she used on me as a gift. I cannot say enough wonderful things about someone as wonderful as Jacqueline Nicole….thanks again Jackie!!!!

Re: Our June 30, 2007 WEDDING! Jericho Terrace, Jacqueline Nicole, Mya, 12th Night, Royalty, and more!
St. Christopher’s Church: A+++This is our home parish, so there was never any question as to where DH and I would get married. St. Christopher’s is such a beautiful church and we never had any problems with planning our wedding or doing the pre-cana requirements.
Celtic Pipers (LIW): A+++
Mr. Kevin Connolly is such a gentleman and is extremely talented on the bagpipes. He dressed in Scottish attire for our wedding, since we are both more Scottish then Irish and played for a half hour before the ceremony and a half hour after the ceremony. We cannot thank him enough for his skills and talents on our wedding day and we would recommend him to anyone.
Royalty Limos (LIW): A+
The limos were early and both drivers were very nice and assistive. Both limos were clean, filled with beverages, and the wedding horns worked well too! The 1958 Rolls Royce was gorgeous and even better, the air conditioner worked great! I believe Lou was the driver of that car, and I apologize if I got the wrong name, and Scott was the driver for the 14 passenger Lincoln, another beautiful limo. What I appreciated most from our drivers was that they asked me which route I wanted to take to get to the church, which was a half hour away from the Inn. At the church the helped me walk to the church and sneak in the side door and then fluffed out my gown before I walked down the aisle. They were both super nice, not pushy at all, and very assistive. At the end of the reception, we were picked up in a Cadillac stretch limo, which was a nice surprise, and that driver was also as courteous as the previous two.
12th Night Photography: A+++
We had two photographers, one for 10 hours, which was Geraldine, and the other was Dominic, who we had for 6 hours. Dominic showed up 20 minutes early to the Inn and didn’t wait a second to start doing what he does best. His sense of humor and relaxed personality is exactly why DH and I booked him on the spot. Geraldine is so sweet and also super talented. Both photographers were so much fun to work with and I cannot wait to see the proofs, which I have the utmost confidence will be phenomenal. We highly recommend the talent and professionalism provided by 12th Night.
Flower Michelle (LIW): B+
This is a difficult vendor to review. I want to start off by saying John is an absolute pleasure to work with and is very talented. All of our experiences with John have been good ones and all the flowers on the day of the wedding were amazing! Dealing with this vendor in general has had its moments of annoyance though, mainly referring to trying to speak with anyone on the phone or always waiting 20-45 minutes past our appointment time, including our very first appointment. Two days before the wedding, I called the florist to remind them to send over a big bag of flower petals for the petal cones. I left this message with John’s associate and she said she would take care of it. The day of the wedding, the delivery guy did not have the petals, and in a good-faith effort, he grabbed all the petals he could find in his delivery truck. Unfortunately, that was only enough to fill up 10 petal cones and I had 60 cones. He came back an hour later with the petals and that problem was solved; however, this may have led to another problem, which I didn’t notice until the day after the wedding surprisingly. There were no bows with tulle hanging from the railings outside on the church steps, which we paid for. I feel bad for the delivery guy who was rushing around all because someone forgot to give him the petals. For the most important part though, the flowers again were GORGEOUS! All the bo-k’s, church flowers, and centerpieces were perfect.

Re: Our June 30, 2007 WEDDING! Jericho Terrace, Jacqueline Nicole, Mya, 12th Night, Royalty, and more!
DJ Tommy’s Tunes/MC Fred & DJ Mike (LIW): A+++This grade is solely based on how awesome of a job DJ Mike and MC Fred did. Fred was assigned to our wedding 2 days before the wedding (FM me for more details on why). All I can say is Fred did an amazing job on the day of our wedding and DJ Mike played all the requested songs and other great choices as well! Everyone raved about the music selection. Fred was always on the dance floor dancing and getting all of our guests pumped up and on the dance floor as well. If you book with Tommy’s Tunes, ASK FOR FRED. DH and I cannot recommend him enough, and we promise you will not regret booking Fred. We only wish we had met Fred and booked him originally to avoid the stress our original MC caused us the week of the wedding. Thanks so much again Fred and Mike!!!
Jericho Terrace (LIW): A+++
The flowers throughout the entire catering hall, inside and out, were fresh and vibrant. The food was delicious, but thank goodness DH and I had a food tasting because we didn’t get to eat that much during the wedding. JT started off the dinner with an awesome champagne march, which had all of our guests clapping along to. Jose was our Maitre ’D and we were surprised with not 1, but 2 bridal attendants, Andrea and Justin. All three greeted us immediately upon our arrival and were ready to assist us. Both bridal attendants were wonderful and always at my side. Justin was amazing! He bustled my dress and got me whatever I needed when I needed it. They both saw that all of our belongings were put in my parent’s car before we all left the hall. Jose did a great job as well. The party ran so smoothly and anytime DH and I had to do something (i.e. our entrance, cake cutting), he was there to guide us. Many thanks to all those at Jericho Terrace for making our wedding day special and memorable, as all we hear from our friends and family is how it was the best party they had ever been to, and that is exactly what DH and I want to hear.
Ballroom Dance Long Island (LIW): A++
John was such a pleasure to work with. Within 5 lessons, we learned our wedding dance along with other basic moves from the foxtrot and swing. He was lots of fun to work with and we look forward to going back to learn more moves.

Sweet Karma Baking (LIW): A+++This bakery made my bridal shower cake as well as the groom’s cake for the rehearsal dinner and both cakes were delicious and creative. My bridal shower cake was a “mad hatter tea party” theme from Alice and Wonderland and I designed DH groom’s cake, which was a Scrabble board. I look forward to working with Brian again!
Honeymoon
Maui – Hyatt Regency Spa & Resort: A+++++++++++++
Absolutely Gorgeous!!! Everyone at the Hyatt was so nice and the grounds were impeccable! DH and I would seriously think of staying in the same exact hotel when we go back to Maui in the future.
Disney Beach Club Resort: A+
DH and I are huge Disney fans and this was our first time staying at a deluxe resort on Disney. We felt for the price, we were not getting that much more than a moderate resort, but the pool was so cool. It had a sand bottom and this long slide attached to a wrecked pirate ship, so that was lots of fun.
Hard Rock Resort (Universal Studios): A
The room was incredible and the view was nice too. We only spent 2 nights there, but mainly because it is very over priced. The pool had a underwater speakers so you could hear the music being played, which was cool, but the pool was not more than 3 feet deep, which boggled our minds. The best thing about the resort was the walking distance to the parks and this ice cream store on the ground level. I had this peanut butter cup ice cream on a waffle cone covered in Reeses Pieces! So good!
