Our perfect wedding at the Watermill 7/30/06

All I have to say is that our wedding was absolutely perfect. I was expecting something to go wrong along the way, but it didn’t (Thank goodness). For all of you future brides, make sure you and your husband take a moment the day of your wedding and absorb it. It is a truly spectacular experience!

Invitations: LA Productions—10
We ordered our invitations from LA Productions and received them in a timely manner. We basically knew what we wanted when we went there, so it wasn’t that difficult. We also used the computer calligrapher that Laura uses and the envelopes came out beautifully.

My Gown and Bridesmaids dresses: Bridal Reflections (Massapequa) –9
When I picked out my dress, the saleswoman (Gloria) was extremely helpful. I had no idea what would look good on me and she helped me pick a dress that fit my body type. The alterations went well for the most part, however there was a little problem at my last fitting. The bustle that the seamstress had done was too short. Therefore, with 5 days until my wedding, it needed to be fixed. They fixed it and it was ready with time to spare.

Veil: Tri-County-10
My veil was a simple elbow length veil. The woman was so nice and my veil was ready within a week.

Tuxes: VIP (in Commack and Syosset)—8
Our experience was not as good with VIP. Several of the groomsmen, as well as my dad had problems with their tuxes. The shirt sleeves were too short on a couple of them and the pants were too long on others. They fixed everything promptly and all was good for the day of the wedding.

Limos: Designer Limousines-10
We had 2 Limos, a Limo bus, and an antique car. They all arrived 15 minutes before they were supposed to and were great. The limo drivers calmed my nerves before the church and helped with my dress. I highly recommend them.

Photography: Karen from Sherwood Triart—10+
Karen is a cousin of my husband’s, so everything went perfectly. We already received our proofs and they came out really good.

Videography-Allen Video Productions—10
Bob was our videographer and he seemed to do a great job. He is in the process of sending us the raw footage, which we can not wait to see.

Flowers: J a c k & R o s e—10 (J & R)
There has been some negative press about this florist, however the flowers were absolutely perfect. They were delivered on time and they were fresh. We had high centerpieces on our tables and they were beautiful. I can not say enough about the flowers and the professionalism of this company.

Band: Times Square Orchestra—10++
They were awesome. There were people on the dance floor literally all night long. I am still hearing about how wonderful they were. Mary Ann and Joe were great to deal with before the wedding and they did everything exactly as it was planned. I highly recommend them.

Christ the King Church—10
Everything went great here as well. We were unable to have rose petals or a runner, but that was fine. We used bubbles instead.

Watermill—10+++
Brian was our banquet manager and he was wonderful throughout the process. Jim was our Maitre D and went out of his way for us. Dotty was our bridal attendant and did a spectacular job. We had the gourmet menu at our wedding and it was perfect (We have really big Italian families). We had the Martini Bar, Seafood boat, Roasted Pig and Viennese hour with the chocolate fountain. People are still talking about the food . My only regret is that I ate a little more. Everything was perfect. I have other friends that recently were married and wish they would have looked into the Watermill. It was dynamite.
