Wedding Review

I can’t believe I’m actually writing this review! My wedding day was everything I ever dreamed of!!!! So here it goes…..Actually I was having trouble posting pictures so I’m putting them in my album

DAY OF…

Mother nature A-

Well the good thing is it didn’t rain. However it was soooo windy!!! Notice my veil in the picture outside. A second later it flew off.

Hair/Makeup A and A++
Sally from Who Does your Hair in Bellmore (or Merrick) did my hair. I got so many complements on my hair. However, one of my bridesmaids hair designs fell out completely. They were really nice though. My makeup was Kristen. She is a freelance artist that is awesome!! I loved my makeup also.

Dress and things A
I got my dress, my mother’s dress and my girls dresses from Demetrios in the Smithaven mall. I loved, loved loved my dress and I wouldn’t change a thing about it. Charlene was the manager there and she was awesome along with my sales person Kelly. However, the reason they didn’t get an A+ was because they lied a couple of times about when the bridesmaid dresses were coming in. I thought they would be in earlier and they came in a little closer to the wedding than I would have liked. I also got my veils and headpieces there. Definitely recommend going there during a trunk show I got 10% off everything plus an extra 15% off my veil. Everyone else also got 10% off their dresses.

I had Vinnie as my photographer and absolutely loved him. He was soooo easy to work with. The funny part is my husband and I are so easy going but between both are families they could be a little pushy with their cameras and difficult with the weather. Vinnie was awesome and sooo patient! I am excited to see the proofs.
Ray was our video guy and he was the same way. So nice and easy going. Can’t wait to see the video also! Updated with the teaser video...I LOVE RAY!!!! Awesome job so far

Flowers Burtons A+++++
I have to say this was the vendor I really didn’t care about and it was one of my favorites in the end. Bobbi was awesome! She really knows her stuff!! I just loved the way the pinks came out in the pictures!

Camelot Limos C
I really hate to do this but I was extremely disappointed in Camelot Limos! Everything Joe promised he did not come through. First he said they do not subcontract out limos, HE DID! We would not have minded but the limo driver was awful. Next Joe said that at the church his limo drivers run the show. Mine limo driver was clueless!!! First he leaves my house without me in the limo. Next he doesn’t even fluff my dress or anything that Joe said he would do at the church. Then he passes the inn and doesn’t even realize that is where he is going. Then he was supposed to drop off the flowers from the church and he drove away with them. Thank God the Inn was on top of their game so it was taken care of. I plan on calling Joe this week an expressing my concerns. I was very disappointed!

Ok so an update...I spoke with Joe today (actually they called me to see how happy we were with the service) I expressed my concerns and he was more upset I think than I was. He expressed to me that the limo that I got was from Camelot it just had a different name on it. As far as the service we received he suspended that limo driver. He also offered to make it better whatever it took. I told him we appreciate the offer but we didn't say these things to get something for free but so another bride would not get the same service. In the end I would like to believe that this was an isolated incident.

Hot Pursuit Band A+++
Let me tell you that the band did not stop playing the whole night. My cousin booked them for her wedding the next day. The dance floor was always packed. If you want a band with tons of energy then this is them!!

Inn at New Hyde Park A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Well this was my dream wedding!!! Angel was the matr’d and he took care of more things than I even realized. For example, the flowers I mentioned above. I didn’t even realize that the flower mishap happened until later on in the night. The bridal attendants followed me around everywhere. I received sooo many compliments on the cocktail hour. Inn Ladies if you are possibly thinking about doing the CH outside I wouldn’t. The room is so nice and I got sooo many compliments on it and food out of this world. Oh yeah they threw in Zepoles at the end and said this is compliments of Joann and Mike.

Yayyyyyy! Congrats!! Everything sounded so great! I can't wait to get married there! I am glad you mentioned about the cocktail hour room. My FH and I origionally booked bc we loved the outside but once we saw that room we fell over!! But we love both inside and outside so we couldn't decide! But I am def going with the new room....we are also getting married there so at least that is outside. And I am sure July 4th will be hot! lol

I just started going to Who Does your Hair? I love Collette! She rocks! However I already booked my makeup some place else.

Again, congrats and so happy it went well! I am gonna look at the pics now!

PS....Zeppolis??? Yum!!! But how is Joanne and Mike or whoever you said! lol
