August 27, 2005 was the BEST BEST BEST day of my life..I know every bride says that and we smile but when your living it, it's truly magical. I married my best friend and my soul mate, and everything that happened after that didn't matter..but i'll tell you what..we partied our arses off!!! As you can see from the pictures..my hair was neatly coifed and then just fell right out AHAHAHAHHA...sign of a good party.


First of all I would like to take this time to thank LIWeddings..you made my planning enjoyable and a lot easier then if I didnt have this resource. MY 05 girls are awesome and I feel that we have come so far..from the start of planning (04) to the wedding I feel like we are a little family heheeh..Divabride was the first person I met on here so i'll have to give a special shout out to her but there have been so many that have helped with questions, opinions etc. Thank you from the bottom of my heart..now on the the review..


I'll start off by saying that all of my vendors will get A+++++ they all went above and beyond and I had an amazing experience with all of them...I let them do what they were paid to do and they came through with flying colors..Two of my vendors really shined tho..Laura from LA Productions and Laurie from LA Blossom..I have one word AMAZING..here goes

Save the Date: Gary (My DH) A+++++: We were heming and hawing about what to do and then I came up with this poem and he ran with it..I loved it and it was so cheap and easy. I bought the envelopes at Quik Pic on 110 and they charge by the pound so it was like 3 bucks for envelopes. We got so many compiments on them:



Invitations: www.notfromabox.com: A++++
I wanted something different and someone on here had these invites in the 'invitation thread' and I just thought they were perfect. They are a little on the pricy side especially if you have them address your envelopes but they gave us the ribbon and these little cards with our monigram on them that we used for the out of town boxes..it was great. Amy is awesome and so nice..we did almost everything via email and they came in with no mistakes and right ontime.







Dress: Bonniventure Bridal in Garden City: A+ a million. I can't say enough good things about Carol, Daisy, Andy and the Seamstress Inez..They are awesome. I had originally gone to them to try on dresses and found their customer service to be amazing. I wanted to keep looking but they said that if I found the dress somewhere else they would get it for me and match the price. I found my dress (Eve of Milady) at Bridal Reflections in Carle Place but they wanted like $5800 for it so I went online and called Pearls Place and they said they could get it for $3200 so I called Bonniventure told them the style number and they matched the price...I love them over there and Inez is the most amazing Seamstress I've ever met. They also did my BM dresses from Bari Jay and Tuxes downstairs..such good customer service..I mean I really can't say enough!!!!! They are like family now









Veil: www.glamgal.com: A+++ I wanted a simple cathedral lenghth veil with swartsky crystals. Thats all I told her..I got exactly what I wanted and it was BEAUTIFUL..

Tiara: ebay: Eden Jewel..Ok well the tiara was beautiful until it lost some stones and started to get yellow. I had to get a new one since they don't do returns. It fell off my head in the middle of our first dance so I just chucked it ahhahaah..funny stuff..





Flowergirl Dresses: ebay: Britchesandbows..Awesome A++++++ cheap, ontime and so cute and they came with the headpiece..highly recommend!!!



Jr. BM Dresses. Tri County. I had originally ordered from some online store that I won't give the name since they sent me dresses that were wrinkled, off color and in a ripped box but FM me if you want the information. The store at TriCounty ordered me three dresses two weeks before the wedding. I don't know the name of it but its in the back and they have Christening outfits and stuff as well and a lot of girls dresses. We had them shortened to tea length but they were really pretty and cheaper then the crap I ordered online LOL:



BM/Jr. BM gifts: www.vintagesister.com A++++++++++ got them all little lippys as well as a bag with a monogram intial and flip flops oh and a pearl necklace..I love Vintage Sister..I let them pick everything out and they were right on the money..everything there is so cute..i wish I had a picture.

Rehersal Dinner: Hyatt Regincy Windwatch: A+++++ We had a BBQ out on the patio next to the pool. My mom made us all Bride, Groom Bridal Party shirts..it was amazing. The food was so good..they had someone doing the BBQ and then they laid out all these salads, ice cream, lemonaid..it was so awesome..exactly what I wanted..





Flowers: Laurie from LA Blossom: A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I heard about Laurie from LIWeddings and we went to meet with her. I had originally wanted all pink roses and really really big and when I went to Laurie she said that I should have stephanotis to bring in some white and that my dress has so many details that it should be a little smaller..she was so right eheheh..As for my centerpieces I wanted a centerpiece that everyone could take home. I originally wanted three on each table but I went with 5 frosted vases with 22 roses in the center..a dozen and a half in the 9 inch vase and 10 in the 6inch vase and I wanted candles all around to make it very romantic..let me tell you..when I walked into that room I almost lost my breath..it was everything i had envisioned and more..everyone was raving about how cool it was that everyone got to take a vase home..it was spectacular..Also, during the ceremony she put up candles down the aisle and then candleabras up in the front..it was soooo pretty...gosh I love Laurie





Day Of Coordinator: Laura from LA Productions: A++++ actually I can't give her a number she was that good. I thought I had my planning in hand and about three months before the wedding I decided since I had such a big bridal party and we were doing such and untraditional wedding that I should hire someone to help. Laura was the first and only person we saw. We met with her and she started going over what she would help with, Gary and I looked at eachother and we were like hey look at all the little details we missed. We booked her on the spot. She came to the rehersal dinner, kept everyone in order and made it run smooth..even when the kids got a little bored she made them feel comfortable..the day of I couldent wait for her to come..i needed support and when she showed up it was like a cloud lifted. She had everything..she kept the photographers going..she brought me a candy centerpiece for the kids table (since i forgot one) she made sure everyone had their BK's..she sewed up the kids dresses when they ripped..all of us got grass stains on our dresses when we went for pictures, she got them out..my JBM spilled chocolate on her pink dress, she took care of it and guess what..i didnt know anything about it, i found out later..she didnt want me to worry about anything and I didnt..I handed off my wedding to Laurie and it was the best decision i ever made..she made us candles with our name, brought us Mr. & Mrs. table letters and decorated our bed in the hotel..I would of paid her a million dollars for the piece of mind she gave me..Laura if you read this..you rock and thank you for making my day go as smooth as it did!!!







Hair: Jackie (one of my BM): A++++++++++ a million. I went to 5 trials and I liked them but they wern't me. Jackie is a hair dresser in Northport and she has been doing my hair for years so I just decided to have her do it and it was the best decision I made. She knew exactly what I wanted and did it perfectly. I highly recommend her. She also did the Jr. BM and Flower girls. I had such a big bridal party that orignally she was going to do it but at the last minute I hired someone else. But here is a picture of Jackie in action:



Makeup/Hair: Vicky Casey AMAZING A++++++ I hired her about a month before the wedding since I realized that I had 14 girls that needed hair and makeup..She brought 2 girls with her and we had so much fun. She does airbrush and all of the girls, moms etc looked amazing. Vicky is so awesome and she made me look like a princess www.vickycasy.com









Favors/Placecard/menus and picture galery: Gary and I: well I can't grade us but we did fantastic. We did CD favors that doubled as placecards. We got the CD cases from www.blissweddings.com and they were on sale for like 15 cents each. Gary made the front with a velum wrapper. We had a poem on the front that said:

'His hello was the end of her endings
Her laugh was their first step down the aisle
His hand would be hers to hold forever
His forever was as simple as her smile
He said she was what was missing
She said instantly she knew
She was a question to be answered
And his answer was 'I do'

Inside was the name of the songs and a thank you note and then the CD. It was perfect because we combined favors and placecards. We also did lotto ticket favors and Gary made the stickers to put on them. Thank you to the bride on this site that orignally did them..you rock..We also did menu's with black cardstock underneath and white cardstock glued to the front with a pink ribbon..that was a PITA but worth it. We did slipper baskets and OOT bags but I don't have a picture...You know, it's the whole theme thing
heeheh..













Officient: Dr. Bosche: A+..so elequont, came and did a non denomnational ceremony that we had written. We wrote our vows and it was so touching..everyone was laughing and crying and you could feel the love..Thank you Dr. Bosche..

Band: The Satelites www.thesatelites.com A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Ok I really can't give them a number either since they were the best band ever. They had everyone up and dancing, they played Jessy's girl and everyone changed it to Gary's girl..ahahahha..oMG they even had the older people up and on the floor..I have never seen the dance floor so packed out..You coulden't move..I would reccomend them to anyone and as a matter of fact Gary's cousin is using them for his wedding in March and another person from the wedding is having her friend use them for her daughters wedding..so freaking good!!!! Anthony is so nice and easy as pie to work with. I didnt even give him a list of songs I just said do what you do best and then I gave him a CD for the parent dances, first song etc..it was awesome...









Reception: Hamlet Windwatch in Hauppague www.hamletwindwatch.com A++ a gazillion..Denise and Anetta were awesome. The food was specticular and the place was so romantic..they run a tight ship and everything went smooth. We had or Ceremony and Reception there and it was just the most amazing time I have ever had. They set it up beautifully, ran it amazing, had the lights set just right. I had 'white castle' burgers at the cocktail hour and people still can't stop talking about them..The chocolate fountain was to die for. Everything about the place I love, EVERYTHING..if you haven't found a place yet, go check them out..you will be so happy you did..







Photography: Duet www.duetweddings.com A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ They were another vendor that I can't really give a number to because they were that good. We had Alberto and Charlie for our photographers and they were a blast..Charlie went with the boys and Alberto stayed with us..We had so much fun..everyone was like they are like your Paperazzi or something. I know Eric is going to rock with that video..We got our proofs back and there were like 700 of them..so good..they don't look real they are that crisp. I can't wait to do my album. No need to write so much, the pictures speak for themselves (and my hand is cramping) hehehe:

In closing I'd like to give some advice. Most of you have hear this already but you know..all of it comes true when your actually in the moment:

1) Nothing else matters but the actual marriage..everything else is just a big ole party and if you look at it that way then the little details that go wrong won't seem so huge..if your hair falls down, if your dress rips, if you get a pimple..its all relative. My tiara fell off, my hair fell down, I got grass stains on my dress but it was a damn good party.

2) Write your own vows if you can..its very touching and makes your ceremony unique

3) Hire a Day of Coordinator

4) If you have a big poofy dress like me, take off your slip..its so damn hot and you can actually dance better without it :)

5) Try and relax and enjoy getting ready, taking pictures and having everyone around..it goes so quick and you want to savor everything. Have someone who you are close to learn the art of hand massage..it really calms you and if that dosent work, drink..a lot hahhaha
