Wedding Review: August 5, 2006

Our day was perfect! It wouldn't have been, though, without the help of the following vendors:

The Kevin Maple Salon, Southampton
-The staff was great, coming in 1/2 hour before their regular opening time to help us get to our early morning ceremony on time. The make up artist was especially talented!

Bridal Suite, Centereach
-The staff was friendly and easy to work with. I liked them so much that I ended up using them for my gown, my mother's dress, and all 7 bridesmaids!

Gennaro's Tuxedos, Centereach
-The one snag in our perfect planning experience, this vendor was unreliable and unprofessional. Our tuxedos and the bridesmaid's shoes almost didn't make it in time for the wedding and no one in the store gave consistent or reliable information. I would NOT use this vendor again nor would I recommend this vendor. Dealing with them was the only stress we encountered during our planning process!!!

Topiaire Florist, Southampton
-Knowing nothing about flowers, I handed Erin (the owner of Topiaire) a fabric sample from the bridesmaids dresses and said 'just make it simple and beautiful'. She did just that. Everything (corsages, boutineers, church decorations, bouqets, and centerpieces) was perfect!

Sir Oliver Limousine, Ronkonkoma
-The drivers were punctual, courteous, and stayed on top of everything. They made sure that we had plenty of drinks in the limo and out (we were married during a heatwave and they were constantly making sure we had water during pictures, receiving lines, etc.), they helped with my dress - They even opened the doors to the church to help my dad and I make our entrance. They were great to work with!

The Vineyard Caterers, Aquebogue
-The reception site was amazing. The service was professional and more than we could have hoped for. My husband and I each received our own attendant who made sure that we had food, drinks, and fun. The cocktail hour and dinner service were delicious (and so much food!). The grounds were gorgeous too - the perfect place for pictures!

Creations Music, Huntington
-Kim Sozz and The Creations were fabulous. Our guests have been calling non-stop since the wedding to praise them! It cost us a lot more for the band as opposed to a DJ but we feel that it was worth every extra penny!

Dan Wagner Photography, Huntington
-Dan was great to work with. During the planning process he responded immediately to all emails and phone calls, taking time to answer all of our questions no matter how silly. He moved about the ceremony and reception undetected by most guests while capturing candids and important moments beautifully. He was responsive to our requests and up for anything. Our proofs were even ready by the time we got home from our honemoon!

Sandals Resorts, Antigua
-The perfect honeymoon location!
