thanks for the review. I am sorry to hear about your terrible experience with National Floral. The guy you ran into is Fred and he is the owner. He is a real jerk, but he lives in Florida most of the year and lets Ana run the show the rest of the time. Thanks for the honest review.

Wonderful review, sorry to hear about TOmmy Tunes, they are also my DJ. Congrats again, you looked beautiful.
I don't think you have much to worry about with them-just raise the concern and I am sure they will take it to heart!

That is so funny-they will be a big hit I am sure!
I wanted to be as honest as possible because I thought that would be most helpful-I know some of the things I've experienced but worry others but at least it gives them the opportunity to get ahead of any issues.
I have received some complaints about my review but I hope folks try to understand that this is my experience with these vendors, an no one else's. You cannot really contest that. Plus, knowing of someone else's experience only makes you more aware of what you may have to contend with. It gives you a chance to be frank with your vendors and make sure the same issues do not occur at your wedding.
Best of luck to all!

I am so thrilled to read this! I have been searching for Atlantica reviews and found this today. We just contracted for our 07 wedding there, and I can just feel that it is going to be a wonderful experience with them. I hope my day wedding is half as exciting as your night wedding ended up being, but i will make it so or sprain an ankle trying. If you know of anyone who had a day wedding there, please let me know. Cost was an issue, with our large family, and I knew some folks would need to get back home that night, not wanting to make a vacation out of it.I have some questions, if you have the time to answer. No problem if not:
Did they charge you for the ice tea and lemonade beforehand? How much did they charge you for the little upgrades you did? We got the 'Blue Ribbon Extra' package (the middle one) but did not add to it, except for espresso. Is it worth doing adding, or do you think we'll be happy with just this? I was able to negotiate a Viennese table in place of the cake and add a mini-cake, just to have the cutting ceremony. The kids will get the cake. Only problem is, you made it sound so delicious, that maybe I should have stuck with the full cake and no table. How did you find the Viennese table? What did they have? ANY info is welcome.
By the way, I'm so happy for you!!!

Thank you for your kind words, I tried to make my review as helpful as possible and I will absolutely love to answer your questions about Atlantica:
THe Iced Tea and Lemonade were not extra, Atlantica threw them in. I believe this is actually their standard. YOu can upgrade to have liquor served before but we didn't. Honestly, I don't think you need to.
We got the Vienesse and Chocolate Fountain for $10 PP total, I think. I am a dessert freak so it was money well spent IMO. You can ask for almost anything as dipping items for the fountain. We had strawberries, pretzels, rice crispie treats and about 10 other things. For viensse, they do a huge display of mini pastries cakes, tarts, etc as opposed to cakes and pies which I have seen elsewhere. It was awesome.
The cake was huge and delicious. Depending on how much you are saving my forgoingit, I might reconsider. Do a cake tasting and see what you think.
We got a really great deal on the cocktail hour add ons, I won't say the exact price because they were really really really cutting me a deal, however I will say to negotiate every price on their menu. The one thing we added on without negotiating a better deal was the Shrimp Cocktail in Martini glasses-they were $1.50 pp extra-you can see from the pic of my Nana, they are so cute.
There are a few other Atlantica brides-check the review for AndreaMT (I think?). We have an Atlantica thread too where you can check out questions. Here it is
Let me know if you have any other questions-I am sooooo excited for you. Atlantica is wonderful!

I am happy to hear that you had a wonderful experience at Atlantica. I am getting married there in October. We have our tasting in July. We are doing a 'Sunday Brunch' type reception so it will be a little different. I am looking forward to tasting the brunch items. Todd Jacobs is a wonderful chef and I have had numerous holiday parties there. I am just worried that there won't be enough food. People are used to Long Island weddings with the huge amounts of food - but I wanted quality food not quantity - but I don't want people to go away hungry!! Thanks for the thorough review!!

Fear not-I had the same fears about there not being enough food. A bunch of us posted about it on the Official Atlantica Thread. However, rest assured you will have plenty of food no matter what tim of day your wedding is. Enjoy your tasting!
