Brentwood Country Club- 9/28/08..AMAZING

Just thought I'd post some reviews of the vendors I used for my wedding, as other people's reviews on this forum helped me make a lot of decisions for my wedding. So hopefully this will help some of you..

I had my wedding at the Brentwood Country Club on 09/28/2008 and for the very affordable, very low price that we paid for the package at the country club, we got ourselves an AMAZING wedding!

The Brentwood County Club offers a package which includes the catering, florist (that also does all the centerpieces), DJ, Invitations, Videographer, Photographer and Limo. I will review each vendor separately.

1) Brentwood Country Club- I have to give the Country Club an A+++ for their services. As I mentioned before, the price of the package is so amazing and you get so much for the price you pay. The food was just amazing. We had all our guests leaving the wedding on happy, FULL stomachs. The country club lets you have your cocktail hour for an hour and 45 mins, which gives you plenty of time to take all your pictures and also to enjoy your own cocktail hour! A lot of weddings I've been to, the cocktail hour only lasts an hour. So the bride and groom miss their own cocktail hour. So this was perfect. We got a chance to enjoy the cocktail hour. After all, we worked so hard to plan this wedding. The least we can do is enjoy it!!!!

I worked with Scott and Steve at the Brentwood Country Club...Scott mostly. And they were both so very helpful and very very patient with my million questions. Getting closer to the wedding, I must have sent Scott 50 e-mails with questions and he always replied right away. Unfortunately neither one of them were there on the day of the wedding. However they had another Maitre D' (I do not remember his name now!) But he also did an amazing job at holding everything together and catering to our every need! We took some pictures before the ceremony and I mentioned to a friend that I was starving and I had no idea that the Maitre D' heard me, but within the next 5 minutes, he came out with a plate full of finger foods! The country club also gives you a bridal assistant and i had a little girl that was following me around catering to my every need! She made sure I had a drink in my hand at all times (lol) and she helped me with everything from...adjusting my dress to taking off my shoes for me when I wanted to dance! She was so helpful!

So I give the country club an A++++. Give them a try! You won't regret it!


2) DJ- Extreme Sounds is the DJ service that Brentwood Country Club offers you and they did a fantastic job. The DJ I had for my wedding was Koz and he pretty much had EVERYONE ..from age 2 to 80 on the dance floor, the entire evening. I give them also an A+++!

3) Limo- Avanti Limo Service is offered through the package and needless to say, they too were on time and did a great job. A+++

4) Florist- I had beautiful rose bouquets for me and my girls and they did a fantastic job. However, the standard centerpieces that are offered on the package are white daisies and that did not go with the theme I had in mind. So I paid an extra $280- $300 to upgrade the centerpieces to bouquets of dozen and a half roses. They were fabulous! I give them also an A+++

5) Videographer- The videographer we had was very nice and helpful. However we did not get our videos back yet. So I cannot review them just yet.

6) Invitations- Brentwood Country Club offers you 3 HUGE books of different invitations to choose from. (Also part of the package) Our invitations were beautiful and my mom said (altough she might be a little biased)..but she said that our invitation was the most beautiful invitation she has seen yet! :) A+++

7) Photographer- HiLite Studio was our photographer. Out of all our vendors, I must say that I was slightly dissappointed with the photographer. We just got our proofs back and they weren't as great as I thought they would be. The lighting wasn't great on the group shots and the photographer just wasn't all that eager to take a lot of pictures. Now this does not mean that ALL the photographers at the studio are like that. Because when I went to their studio, I saw PLENTY of pictures from the Brentwood Country Club that looked amazing on their walls. I just didn't get that many good pictures with good lighting. But they weren't bad. The pictures did come out good. Just nothing WOW about them. The photographer didn't try to do anything unique. He basically got us all to just stand there and snapped away. But I would give them a good B+. And also, before the wedding, I had asked them about getting pictures that are black and white with a little splash of color here and there and I had asked them if I could just choose which picture I want that done to and he said that I HAD to pay for the black and white pictures before the wedding because the photographer has to use some sort of SPECIAL film to get that done, which was ofcourse not true. But I was the idiot that bought in to it and paid the money for it. Basically they just took the colored pictures and turned the same picture in to black and white afterwards and the picture that I wanted the splash of color wasn't even one of the black and whites and so obviously he was lying about it. That pissed me off because there's nothing worse than a lying vendor that wants to just take advantage of you! But like I said, the pictures weren't bad. Just little things about how they made their sales and tried to get people to buy their products wasn't very appealing to me.
