Any bands play in the Garden Terrace at Fox Hollow? HELP

Hi, I was wondering if any one has played in the Garden Terrace at Fox Hollow. My question is this:

How many band pieces will the play area in the Garden Terrace fit, so that the band can play comfortably and the guests are not climbing all over the equipment to get a drink??

Please help!

I just performed there with my 8-piece band, The Times Square Orchestra, and we had no problems at all. For that particular room, the 'load-in' is easy for the band, right on street level just next to the front entrance...As far as the bar is concerned, the band sets up next to, and slightly back from the bar...there is no interference.
Every reception I've done in that room, has been alot of fun, and a tremendous success, along with a Great Fox Hollow Staff. Congratulations & Good Luck.

Thank you! That makes me feel better! I am concerned because we will have to have two bands. One American Band (American may not be the right word) and one Ethnic Band for my Fiance's family. So all in all together it's like 12 pieces. Thank you for your feed back!

I also work with an LI Band, and we have played their many times in that room, and we usually work with six pieces in our band and we do not interefere with the bar area.

You are asking about the Garden Terrace Room which is the largest room. The vendors were replying about the Winter Garden Pavilion- which has the entrance in the front -off the street level and the glass ceiling. To get into the Garden Terrace Room the band has to enter through the back-down a hallway- down two sets of stairs into the room. The stage is large and 8 pieces fit comfortable. If you are having two bands make sure they coordinate and share sound systems, drums etc. My office is recommended by Fox Hollow and I have performed over 100 weddings in the Garden Terrace Room. It is a great room for a wedding-just make sure the bands coordinate load in time with the Fox Hollow banquet office.If your function is in the Winter Garden Pavilion it will be very tight for two bands.Again-this is the room that enters on street level.Look at your contract to make sure which room you have and speak with the banquet department. I have played many weddings in the Garden Terrace Room at the Fox Hollow where I have brought in a second 'specialty band' to join my personal band. This gives the client the best of all worlds-the authentic ethnic music and the American music.I do this for Greek-American weddings,Portuguese-American weddings and Latin -American Weddings. The Greek,Portugese or Salsa Band uses my PA system and my drums. This eliminates having to clutter the stage with extra equipment and it makes more room for the performers. In the Garden Terrace Room there is a stage. Everything has to be on the stage. The Fox Hollow does not allow any musicians, speakers or equipment on the floor- for safety reasons. Unless the musicians share equipment (PA System etc) it will be a problem. Hope this answers your question.
