Booked place- now what!?

Booked place- now what!?

I am not in any major rush, but I just booked Jericho Terrace for 08/08/08 .... Not sure how soon I will need to book everything else, but from what I understand I have time- however, I also hear that 08-08-08 may be a popular date, so I wonder if I should book sooner because of that? I know JT will call me in a few weeks to help me with some stuff and they have a showcase in a few weeks, but in the meantime I would appreciate any feedback, prices, packages, advice, anything. Interested in considering 'outside' venders as well. 'FM me.' Thanks!

Needed:

Officiant - (ceremony to take place at reception hall)
photographer/video
Florist
reception and ceremony music
hair stylist
limo
invitations

Re: Booked place- now what!?

Hi and congratulations!

Another great date! You're right it is going to be a popular one. I would start looking now so that you have time to really do your research. If you find vendors that you have your heart set on, odds are they'll be available and you can't hate locking them in at 2007 prices!

There are no rules anymore which is both the best and the most confusing thing about being a Bride and Groom today. You can have anything you want but where do you start? Some go out looking with a clear idea and others see several vendors just to get ideas. There is no right and wrong but having the reference points to make good decisions is one of the best things that you LIW girls give one another.

This is going to be a wonderful and crazy year yet choosing people you trust and who love their work will help to relieve much of the stress as they will be there for you immediately what ever your needs may be.

I am available on your date, so please feel free to call me any time either just to chat or schedule an appointment.

Wishing you both many healthy years of love and marriage, wisdom and wonder.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! My name is Rev Alison and I am a second-generation Ordained Minister who performs Interfaith, Non-Denominational Spiritual, Non-Religious, Religious,Civil and Commitment ceremonies. You can see my website www.nyweddingclergy.com and I am also listed under clergy in the liweddings and nycweddings websites.

I am also a published author, so after meeting you and your fiancée and taking notes at our meeting. I custom craft a ceremony that is unique to the two of you, personal and heartwarming. I send you different options to pick and chooses from. We go back and forth until the ceremony is perfect!

During our meeting, we discuss your wishes, and involvement you would like your families to have in the ceremony. We talk about your interests and anything that would make the ceremony more personal and uniquely yours.

Since I have been performing weddings for so many years (as have my parents before me) I do have a vast knowledge of ceremony options, rituals and traditions. I am always looking to share that knowledge and to make these traditions work for your ceremony.

Please feel free to call me at 631-786-9630 or email me at [email protected]
