I need a DJ for 175 people on Friday June 25, 2004 for my reception at the north ritz club. I don't want back up dancers, give aways or any other 'extras' just the DJ and the lighting, although I would like you to play at the cocktail hour. The time is 7:30 to 12:30. I am on a budget ( that's what happens when a teacher marries a firefighter). I've been quoted $1,200-$1,800 and I think that is way too high and I simply can't afford it...can you help me??
Thank You, Colleen

Re: DJ
Dear Colleen, Be very careful. Any reputable DJ company could not possibly provide a quality performer and wedding for 5 hours for less than you have been quoted. You do not want to a take a chance on ruining the wedding by having someone who is a 'weekend warrior' - who does this part time and will give you a 'bargain price'. My office could not help you with the budget you are working with. I am writing just to advise you to again-be very careful. Re: DJ
I agree with Stan, be careful if the price is too low. Music and food are (in my opinion) the most important factors in a good wedding as far as guests are concerned. Obviously, every service is as equally as important to you! You can try Dr. Dance Entertainment, I am not sure what their rates are, but I do know that they are very good and very professional. Ask for Dennis or Kenny. Good luck!

Re: DJ
Thats a miss quote i do this full time and im not a weekend warrior and i can beat those prices. Ive been doing this for 16 years. I make my prices reasonable for people since alot of couples now a days are paying for there own wedding. Thanks Vinny High Voltage Sounds 516-520-7921
