Invitation request

Invitation request

HI all! In March, my husband and I are getting married again. We will be married ten years. The first time was a civil ceremony. This time it will be in a church. The priest called it a 'convalidation ceremony'. I am ready to order invitations and need some suggestions on the wording and the type of invitation I should use.

Thanks,
Maureen

Re: Invitation request

Hi mlp

That is very beautiful!

As far as wording of your invitation is concerned you can either use the term your priest used and say something like:

Mary Smith
and
John Smith
invite you to share in
a day of happiness when
they renew their love
in a convalidation ceremony
on ............
etc.

or you can use something like

Mary Smith
and
John Smith
invite you to share in
a day of happiness when
they reaffirm their wedding vows
in the eyes of God, our family and friends
on ...........

There are many different types of wording that you can use. I would be most happy to sit with you to make sure the wording is just perfect for your special day.

As far as invitations are concerned we carry everything from informal to very ellaborate - and I can assist you in choosing an invitation that will create the perfect atmosphere for your celebration of love.

Hope this helps - Happy planning!

Re: Invitation request

What a nice idea!!

As far as wording goes, the sky is really the limit...

Here's one example from verseit.com:
A life of caring, sharing
A love of endless giving together . . .
The honour of your presence is requested
at the reaffirmation of wedding vows of
NAMES
on DAY
YEAR
at TIME
LOCATION
ADDRESS
CITY, STATE

You can also personalize the invite saying something like:

10 years have come and gone... but the love of Maureen and husband's name still goes strong.

Please join us as we reaffirm our love for each other on date, time, place...

If you would like to pick my brain for more ideas, (not just for the wording) please feel free to do so... I'm happy to help. My best to you with the planning of this exciting event, Laura--LA Productions
