I heard that anything over a 10 passenger limo is not covered by insurance. Is that true? My friend tried to order a 12 passanger limo from a limo place and they told her NYS Insurance does not cover anything over a 10 passanger.

First of all I never could imagine an operator running any kind of vehicle with no insurance. Some limo companys that have only a ten pass use the line that the vehicles are not safe. I know limo people that told me larger vehicles are unsafe but guess what they have the larger limos now. There is a move however to classify a larger limo, Navigator etc. to bus regulations on Long Island. A New York City based company has new gudelines being enforced such as additinal insurance & Licenses. Hope this helps. Charlie Gandolfo
